Be extra careful, one of our friends lost her phone and security offered absolutely no help. Pick pockets are very active inside the store. Always busy. Peole rushing for things. Plenty of parking, but always challenging to come out as traffic lights are very slow

I visited Tesco tonight and found that the second floor had already closed after 8pm. I urgently needed to buy a duvet, and the night shift manager was extremely kind and understanding. She asked a colleague named Mel to go upstairs and bring the item for me, which I truly appreciated. I also want to mention another helpful staff member from the tissue section, a Bangladeshi gentleman, who was very supportive and friendly. All three team members were exceptional. Their professionalism and willingness to help made a big difference. If every Tesco branch had employees like them, it would greatly strengthen the brand. Thank you to the team for the outstanding service.

I shop here semi frequently, most recently a few days ago. I know the store pretty well and not much surprises me but I met the most helpful staff member, Valentino was outstanding! He went above and beyond, assisting me at self checkout and showing tremendous patience even when I left my items to go get something else that I'd forgotten to add. Came up with a brilliant solution to a trolley problem I was having and overall took great care of me as a customer. Tesco should be proud to have Valentino he's a real asset to this organisation whether it's recognised or not.

Absolutely appalling customer service at Tesco Pounder End. I’m a regular customer who has spent thousands over time, but the way I was treated today was completely unacceptable. I saw a toy clearly priced on the shelf, and there were plenty of them there. When I asked about it, I was told I couldn’t have it… no proper explanation given. To make matters worse, the staff started speaking in another language (Bengali, I believe) while looking at me and my child, which felt very discriminatory and uncomfortable, especially since we had no idea what was being said. My child was visibly upset by the experience. When I asked for a manager, he eventually came only to tell me he couldn't help. No resolution, no apology, nothing. How can a major store like Tesco treat loyal customers like this? Really disappointed and shocked by the unprofessional behaviour from both the staff and the manager.

Tesco is Tesco, but what truly makes a difference is the location and what it offers to the local community. During my visit, I noticed a significant selection of halal food, which is highly desirable for someone Muslim like myself. This thoughtful inclusion demonstrates Tesco’s effort to cater to the diverse needs of the area’s population. The store itself is quite large. While it’s not the largest Tesco I have ever visited, it’s spacious enough to make an impression and provide a wide range of products. However, the shop's furniture and fixtures have clearly aged. From the floors to the ceiling, and from the shelves to the fridges, the wear and tear are quite noticeable. This aging infrastructure may contribute to the store’s less-than-perfect cleanliness, as the older furnishings can make maintenance more challenging. One standout feature of this Tesco is its three hours of free parking, which is an absolute boon for shoppers in the area. In a time when finding free parking is becoming increasingly rare, this is a significant advantage and a reason to appreciate having this Tesco at such a convenient location. In fact, the availability of free parking alone is enough to make this store a cherished part of the community. During my visit, I made use of their car park and felt compelled to show my gratitude by doing a bit of shopping, even though I didn’t particularly need anything at the time. It’s small gestures like this that help support local stores, and I’m glad I could contribute in some way. Overall, while this Tesco may not be the most modern or pristine store, it serves an important role in the area. Its selection of halal food, spacious layout, and generous parking policy make it a valuable resource for locals. With a bit of refurbishment and attention to cleanliness, this store could elevate its appeal even further, but for now, it remains a convenient and practical shopping destination.

Very disappointed! By mistake I bought the wrong bra size and after paying I realized that it was not the right size, immediately I went to costumer services to change but I couldn't because the underwear doesn't change! so don't buy clothes from Tesco! I will never go there again!!!

It's a decent store; all your grocery needs in one place plus a Costa Coffee, pharmacy and Vision Express.

Seemed really scruffy today.. shelves were empty and price labels were not in line with said items.. lots of empty boxes too. Obviously they need to get more staff, the ones there were stressed and irritable..

I usually click and collect out of the desire to save my time, I've been doing this for at least a year, lately by the time I get home I've realized that I'm missing products, today I had again collection from Tesco Ponders End again and I said to check the products that I had already bought and paid for (order online) and to my astonishment almost half of the products were missing, I called the door no one answered and I went to customer service, the lady there called someone and I was told to wait for someone to come, I waited a few minutes and to my amazement the person who had delivered my shopping came with three other baskets with my missing products! products worth about 60 pounds! Check the shopping cart, check the products received at clik and collect!

This Tesco has really gone down hill. There is no pride, the store is a mess and lacking in a lot of products. For weeks there has been no puppy food, there was hardly any tights and most of the labels were left, the boys section is a shambles, half the tags were missing. Even the live hair dye was pretty empty. There’s no staff around to help on the shop floors unless they are doing the online shopping- especially upstairs! For a big store you can’t get a lot anymore!!!!
