Yesterday the 13th of December, I attended a Christmas party at the hall. While we were guests, we also volunteered to assist the event organizers by providing photography services and setting up a photobooth in the reception area, exactly where we were instructed to do so by the organizers. At no point did any organizer raise concerns regarding safety, access, or obstruction. During the event, a man—who failed to identify himself, explain his role, or follow any professional protocol—approached me and immediately spoke in an aggressive, disrespectful, and demeaning manner. He stated that I “don’t have a brain” and “don’t have common sense.” This language is entirely inappropriate and reflects a serious lack of professionalism. Rather than following correct procedure—such as calmly identifying a genuine safety concern, consulting the event organizers, or communicating respectfully—he chose to verbally attack me. When I asked him what he was referring to, he claimed we were blocking a fire exit. I immediately responded respectfully (despite being spoken to in a very bad manner) and agreed to move our equipment to ensure nothing was obstructed. After adjusting the setup, he then accused us of blocking the disabled bathroom. I calmly explained that there was ample space for access and that no wheelchair users were attending the party. Despite this, his tone remained hostile, dismissive, and unnecessarily aggressive. Due to the way I was being spoken to, I contacted my husband, who is the photographer, as he had stepped away to park the car. When he arrived, the same man suddenly changed his demeanor entirely—speaking to my husband politely, calmly, and with a smile—while continuing to raise further complaints. This stark contrast in behavior was deeply concerning. Even after fully complying with every request—moving the table, clearing the entrance, adjusting cables, and no longer using a chair he claimed belonged to him—he continued to nitpick and insist we were causing obstructions, despite there being clearly sufficient space for guests to move freely. He continued to disrupt our work without justification. With guests queuing to use the photobooth and the situation becoming increasingly uncomfortable, we made the difficult decision to pack up and leave. This entire situation could have been handled quickly and professionally by someone who understands their role and knows how to communicate appropriately. Instead, I was subjected to verbal abuse and dismissive treatment, that I found deeply offensive. As a woman, I found his behavior particularly troubling and unacceptable. We are extremely disappointed that someone displaying such behavior is placed in a position of responsibility. This incident reflects a serious failure in professionalism and conduct and should be addressed accordingly. No one deserves to be treated in this way. Professional environments require respect, kindness, and basic human decency—qualities that were completely absent in this interaction.

We hired this hall for the Mendhi as part of my daughter's pre-wedding celebration. The hall accommodated all the people invited and can cater for 170-180 people. The charges are extremely reasonable and communication with the team at the centre is exceptional. In particular Johanna and Paul were very accommodating. I cannot thank them enough.
