The ice rink was great for ice skating. However the skates we were handled could be much better as they were old and very hard on our feet.
Lovely place. Very good indoor ice rink and fun swimming pool with water slides. There are about 1000 parking spaces, so I have never struggled to find a parking spot, however, modern cars are much wider but the parking bays remain the same from 20 years ago so the bays are really tight and it its now very difficult to get in or out of the car.
Have been ice skating multiple times at this venue, and there really a fifty fifty chance youd enjoy it. It mostly rests on which skates you get handed, as some are very hard, close fitting plastic with no padding, that RUB your feet and press hard on your ankles. Both me and my friend went recently and her feet were bleeding into her socks after taking off her skates (first aid at the counter helped though). It was copeable for the first ten minutes then started to really hurt and I had to take my skates off and sit out for the last 15. But when I've been before and been handed newer skates with padding and support, it was great and really fun. So, 50/50
Great day out for the kids. Just off the A3, plenty of free parking, a shop in case you've forgotten some swimming gear, need £1 for the lockers, different sized changing rooms for if you're 1 person or a family, plenty of mini slides, medium slides to big slides depending on the ages of your kids, even had a slide where you take donut shaped floats down. Once everyone's worked up an appetite, there's a few eateries to choose from which is great that everything's located under 1 roof. A few minor niggles... It cost me £30 for an adult and 2 kids which is a bit on the steep side, there is no shade in the car park so be prepared to come back to a furnace on hot days, but my main gripe... The boiling hot showers, and that's by adult standards just imaging trying to wash your squirming kids in it, please turn it down! Will save on your electricity bills too so can only be a win win situation.
Possibly the best affordable themed pool in England, almost waterpark size minus the high price. The water temperature was perfectly warm, there were 2 hot tubs and plenty of rides, of which 3 were long. The decor was artistic, featuring model fishes and some rocky landscaping between things. Also there was a wave machine and enough space to swim laps in the 1.5 metres end.
Absolutely great Saturday with our kids. It was awesome. We got offered a photo of our youngest. And it was really nice. We got professional photos taken 3 for 24£. That's seems very reasonable. My youngest loved the baby part and eldest loved the waves. Only let down it smells like chlorine, but expected. Eyes gets a bit sensitive.
My children came to Flair gym club tumble camp last week and had the best time. What a great facility and the coffee was loverly too. Thank you to everyone woking at this facility, we had a great week of activities.
Attending the Cinderella On Ice and the 1/3 of the rink is blocked from view by the seating on the ice. These seats were not at a reduced price because of a partial view, they were full price. Complete con. A birthday gift for a family member ruined by the venue trying to pack in as many seats as possible.
No photos or phones allowed inside fun pool area. Max depth 1.4m, wave pool every 30 mins, 2hour slots with wristbands and a tannoy system to let you know when it's over. 3 big slides and several other small ones. Fair prices for adults and kids, around the same as a cinema trip on a Saturday.
Today I visited the leisure centre with my 7yr old child, I booked the leisure pool you get 1hr 30mins in the pool. We both had a nice time there is a few slides to enjoy and a large wave pool. There is also a pool with lanes and a diving pool. There are plenty of lockers and cubicles to get changed in. The leisure center also has a large ice skating rink and bowling alley. This is a nice family leisure centre and I will be visiting again.
