   ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An outstanding riding school — so welcoming and caring! I can’t praise this riding school enough. From the very first visit, Sarah and her wonderful team (family) made me feel so welcome and at ease. There’s such a warm, friendly atmosphere, you instantly feel part of the family. What truly sets this school apart is how well the horses are cared for. Their welfare is clearly a top priority, they’re happy, healthy, and so loved. It’s so reassuring to know they’re treated with such respect and kindness. I’ve loved every minute of my experience here so much that I now feel completely confident for my step-daughter, who is only four years old, to start riding too. It means so much to know she’ll be learning in such a supportive, safe, and caring environment. If you’re looking for a place where you and your family will feel welcome and the horses are truly looked after, I couldn’t recommend this school more highly. Thank you, Sarah, for creating such a special place and thank you to Lilly for being the sweetest horse to learn with!

   *Edit* Please ignore the recent slanderous and downright vile reviews from a couple of disgruntled children. Sarah and her family do the absolute best by these horses and after being around the family for over 10 years I can honestly say I've never felt more welcomed anywhere. I've been riding at Villa Mar for years and couldn't recommend them enough. A friendly family owned riding school who cater to all abilities with amazing horses!

   After Attending at another riding school and not improving I started riding at Villa mar in March 2024 and it was the best decision I’ve made. Sarah and her family are so nice and make you feel so welcome. Sarah is a lovely person and will give you that extra push of encouragement when it comes to confidence knocks. The horses are really looked after and are loved by everyone. My riding has improved massively thanks to Sarah the instructor and the amazing horses that she has❤️ Would definitely 100% recommend this yard to everyone.

   This riding school is the best one.Sarah(the instructor) and her family are the nicest people ever.Sarah helps to build confidence and teach you how to ride amazingly.The atmosphere at this yard is incredible,the people are so nice and helpful. I learnt everything at this yard from how to ride horses to how you care for them properly. Sarahs horses are all beautiful,happy and well looked after. I honestly couldn’t recommend it more it is such an amazing experience. (The people who have left not so great reviews are ones that have left on there own behalf because they themselves were causing trouble.)

   I’ve been going to villa mar on and off for the past 18 years, so you might say I enjoy my time there. I started around the age of 10 after I sold my first pony to give me some more confidence with horses and because I just loved being around them. I’ve had two of my own horses there and I wouldn’t go anywhere else now. It’s one of the nicest yards I’ve ever been too, not like a lot of riding schools, it really does feel like one big family. I have really struggled with riding after a bad riding accident when I was 15 and this place has just brought my confidence back, from strength to strength. Thank you Villa Mar family ♥️

   As an older, overwhelmed and under confident rider, I am incredibly grateful to Sarah and her team for giving me the confidence to ride again. After only 5 one to one lessons with lots of care and a fantastic steady horse I now ride without support just Sarah’s instruction. The stables have many rescue and ex military horses who wouldn’t have had a home and I dread to think where they would be without this school. My daughter also attends within a class at the school and not only does she love the riding she enjoys learning about what comes with having a horse and is able to groom and get involved to her hearts content. The family are lovely, as are the horses. We love it. It’s a sociable place with lots of friendly parents and riders!

   I have to say I am shocked and baffled by the last review. From my experience at Villa Mar Riding School, the comments could not be further from the truth. Sarah, Fred, Maureen and Dave are some of the nicest, friendliest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. My little nephew has weekly riding lessons with Sarah and she is fabulous with him and everyone else in his lesson. Due to Sarah's experience, skill, patience and making every lesson fun, his riding has improved so much in a relatively short space of time. You only have to visit this lovely family run yard to know it is most definitely not about the money but about the well being of the horses and all the other animals Sarah and crew work tirelessly to keep healthy and happy. We love spending time at Villa Mar, we are always made to feel so welcome and I cannot recommend it enough.
