This is a shame as the hotel is well situated on the banks of the dam and next door to a pub/restaurant. However, unless you're foreign there's no room at this inn.

Housing illegal economic migrants at the taxpayers expense. Making the area less safe.

For the price, this hotel was definitely the best. Our hotel plans fell through in Portland so we decided to head over to St Helenβs for the week. Halloweentown is super cool and this hotel is only about a 2 mile walk away from the town center. Damion at the front desk is fantastic!!! He was so nice to us our entire stay, helped us with questions, and recommendations! Only bad thing was the beds honestly. Itβs hotel beds, so naturally they wonβt be the best, but manβ¦ pillows arenβt great either. Bring your own pillows if you want to be comfortable while sleeping! All in all though weβd definitely come back!

It would appear this establishment is being used to house refugees, presumably while they are processed ?? The rubbish around the building & outside is truly disgusting. Not somewhere Iβd advise anyone to stay!

We booked 2 rooms in this hotel in October for a gig in July this year . Got a good rate and clearly got inbefire the rush of room bookings, it filled up pretty quickly . Around 4 weeks ago gets a message from OYO saying our rooms had been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Advised to cancel via Booking.com . It's impossible to contact hotel directly and after eventually getting through to the Indian call centre we were given the standard line of unforseen circumstances. I wasn't happy with this reply and escalated it and after initial reluctance to tell me what happened they finally admitted we'd been double booked . They wouldn't advise why we had been chosen , given we'd booked months in advance I felt this was unfair . We were told there was nothing we can do and we'd need to get other accomodation which we now have , further away and at a higher cost !! I asked to escalate again as I wasn't happy and was given an email address that didn't exist . Gave up in the end . Dreadful customer services .

A group of us booked in months ago so we could staybafyer a wedding nearby. Including the bridal party. Received a phone call to say a room was being cancelled. When I asked why, they hung up. Then received an email confirming the room was cancelled. When I asked why and explained we've been booked in for months and now hotels are booked up or in their Β£100s, theybjustbsaid the hotel is now full and they can't fit us in. They also aren't automatically processing the regund. We have to go to the wider OYO company to request this even though theyve cancelled the booking. Terrible customer service and looks like they advertise rooms at a low rate and take the money off you. Then they sell at a higher rate and cancel the other bookings if there's demand later, instead if honouring existing bookings. I won't be considering staying here again and the way everything has been dealt with has been appalling.

The room we had was clean and the bed very comfortable. Good price. The location is surprisingly quiet being just off the East Lancashire Road and next to a lake. Our only quibble was the plug in the wash hand basin would not budge and the water could not drain away. Hopefully this will be fixed now. The hotel doesn't offer breakfast but the Toby Carvery next door did a full English for Β£14 for two and was very good.

Stayed there before and had a great experience. Not so this time, but a 5 star rating for the staff as they sorted out a major problem which wasn't really their fault. And all the time they were polite and friendly. I could have left there feeling really annoyed, but I left feeling they had treated me right. So much so, I will stay there again. The room itself was a really reasonable family room which was clean and had everything we needed for a no-frills overnighter; just a place to kip over in. We didn't eat there, had a parking spot in their car park, and that's pretty much it.

Room are decent but the place could do with a refurb. Beds are comfy. Used to be a Premier inn and it doesn't look like anything has been changed apart from the sign hanging above the front door. Staff are very helpful and parking is very easy. Toby carvery a stones throw away but I would say that there food and drinks are overpriced. Nice view of the lake at the back and I imagine would be nice on summers day.
