“Have been using this premier for close to three years now and must say it always delivers the rooms and always clean and well maintained. Gav and Linda are just two of the staff that stand out always remember my name and room number they always have a ground floor room available as per my request. The pub on the side run by the same staff has a nice welcoming feeling and the food is always very nice. I love the double stack burger with fry’s cooked on chargrill with good size portions. Overall a nice clean friendly hotel if you are in the area give it a go.”

“Been staying here since my company changing from another Hotel but very local. The staff are very customer focused and keep your well being at the for front of their mind. Just stayed here for 2 nights and although busy, the service was superb in the restaurant. I will say a HUGE big thank you to Clair M who served me and everyone else in the restaurant. Walking around with a huge smile on her face and nothing was too much for her. Can I also mention the waitress Shani, so polite and again served with a smile on her face. Means a lot truely it does. I will not be going anywhere else for the foreseeable future and neither will my colleague's from my company. I work away for work and it is difficult at times, however the staff at Mercure make it easier for me. Please make sure these comments are given to those mentioned? “Me and my family Stayed here for 3 nights while attending a family wedding. Had a lovely welcome at the front desk from Simon who was very helpful to us throughout our stay. “Stayed there before and had a great experience. Not so this time, but a 5 star rating for the staff as they sorted out a major problem which wasn't really their fault. And all the time they were polite and friendly. I could have left there feeling really annoyed, but I left feeling they had treated me right. So much so, I will stay there again. The room itself was a really reasonable family room which was clean and had everything we needed for a no-frills overnighter; just a place to kip over in. We didn't eat there, had a parking spot in their car park, and that's pretty much it.”

“Been a while since I was here but have used it a few times. Prices are reasonable compared to most guest houses of similar size, rooms are kept clean and there's always a good supply of tea, coffee, milk etc as well. Good access from the M6 via the M62 link to st Helens, the route brings you to the traffic lights outside (You get there via Thatto Heath so you're just round the corner at the lights. The main car park is small, maybe a bit tight for a van, but there are a few extra spaces opposite the vehicle entrance just ask. Not sure about wheelchair access, there are no lifts, this is a former residential home so I'm sure there must be some kind of access. Dining room is on the first floor and breakfast is always plentiful with a choice of cereals for self service. The full English cooked is delicious and you actually see it being cooked through the serving hatch. There's a TV in each room and some rooms look out over the busy dual carriageway to Taylor park. There's usually a few staff around in the morning but check in etc is done by 1 lovely lass who's been there pretty much since the place opened. There are cameras all round the external sections, including the entrance and car park. I would choose Park View over the main hotel in town any day, love the place.”

Maria the Kitty Angel is the license holder and she has a passion for cats having been a Maine Coon breeder of 2 decades and 40 years of experience in cat care. Maria holds the OfQual regulated course Level 3 Diploma in Feline Care Behaviour and Welfare and trained Reiki Masterclass Practitioner. Maria has help from a number of volunteers. Maria is also qualified in law to masters level and is a registered nurse.

“Just back from Mijas and stayed in Villa Lisetta.First stay in Spainish villa and must say it was exceptional.9 adults and 4 kids in party and house and overall property in excellent condition and very roomy.Everything was there we needed and more .Maid service even came and changed bedding and towels mid week.Location (via short minor road ) was secure and very private.kids loved the infinity pool and best time was late evening looking over the valley and sunset.Absolute gem of a holiday.Mijas villas as a company excellent to deal with and great communication all the way through.Special mention to Lisa there local rep .instant response and very helpful.Recomend 100%.will use again.”

“Absolutely amazing Doggy Daycare Provision! My dog is always SO excited to attend each week - I only have to say 'doggy daycare' to her and she starts wagging her tail! The care that the team provide is absolutely excellent. The dogs get to play but they also get down-time to calm and sleep too which is perfect. The Facebook page is great as there are always lots of photos of what your dog has been up to that day and I love the fun themed photos they do (e.g Christmas, Valentine's, Easter etc...) they are so funny and cute! If you are thinking of Doggy Daycare to socialise your dog, I can highly recommend WWT.”

“We’ve just had an afternoon meal here, our first time eating here. A bit of a wait from ordering to food on the table (but it does state in busy times 45 mins is normal) but what we ordered was well worth the wait. Every meal was piping hot & freshly cooked. I had steak & ale pie with mash seasonal veg & a gravy boat it was delicious, the wife had a tower burger and it was a tower it was served with skin on fries. Our son had Fajitas with a side order of salt n pepper chips - I pinched a couple of the chips they were delicious. All portions were more than adequate and food hot which is a massive plus in my eyes. My wife & son had a sweet both said it was delicious a chocolate brownie, hot fudge with ice cream were their choices. The staff were very nice especially birthday girl who was a great hostess. A pleasant afternoon we will definitely visit again.”

“The Griffin Inn was the perfect venue for our wake after my mother’s funeral at nearby Greenacres. The room was cosy and a great size for what we needed, with a lovely real fire it made us all relax. The shape of the room meant we could all move around and talk to each other, with many comfortable seats. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff friendly and attentive. The food was really lovely and served exactly when requested, and thank goodness we ordered the teas and coffees too. I’m very glad we booked with The Griffin Inn.”
