Very friendly welcome from Anne on Reception, Maeve and Emma really cheery too, special mention too to Chris in the restaurant, really cheery and attentive welcome, couldn't do enough for us, only negative was he us a Man Utd fan, otherwise perfect host. Worlds apart from last stay a year ago, now would highly recommend. Pre Xmas stay for 6 nights.

Excellent location just outside the town and perfect for us for a wedding just down the road. Rooms were clean and comfortable, very quiet even though it's off a main road. Staff were helpful and pleasant and the breakfast was good value for money.

Just went for a meal with my sister not for staying over. Restaurant was great - Duty Managers Chris and Katie couldn't do enough to help you. Really friendly and welcoming. The food was very tasty and the wine was good! Clean. And accessible for wheelchair users. We would definitely go back and we aim to meet up there for breakfast one weekend. I know my sister will make it a regular thing with her family as they live near by. I have only given 4 stars because Premier Inn do not let you add a tip electronically to the bill when you pay - you can only tip via cash. Come on Premier Inn, come into the 21st Century. A good evening was had. We would recommend it.

Lovely warm welcome from the desk team. Room was a little tired but I was in the older part of the building it seemed so to be expected but exceptionally and it was very quiet, had a very sound sleep. Didn't use the restaurant for dinner, but breakfast was great and the waitress asked me if I was needed anything else, which isn't always the case when table service.

The service of I think it was Sam (what a gentleman) and Libby (or Vicky?) the Night managers, was fabulous, they were lovely and helpful when I called and then turned up in the middle of the night after a household emergency. The room (44) could have done with with a little maintenance, maybe it was because I was a last-minute booking, but varnish peeling off doors, and various other little things that could be fixed in a day; carpet due for a refresh too. No plug near bed to charge phone - probably good for my health but not convenient in the circumstances. Breakfast was nice over at the pub next door and good value with the Premier Inn deal. The server there was lovely too. Conclusion - room could do with a touch up, but service was excellent, give these employees a bonus!

Been trying to book a room on their app and website for over 1 hr! Error upon error and when I called their hotel the receptionist said “we have no secure line to take a payment”!!! How about securing the line so you can secure the business?!! Been coming here for a long time and use to be amazing but of late it has slipped in the standards dept. So much so that last weekend the receptionist was so annoyed at whatever that she was borderline rude. Nearly walked away there and then but the manager, that has known me for a while, spoke to me and apologised. I feel super disappointed about not being able to book a room for this Sunday as usual! It’s diabolical and terrible customer service. No more and voting with my feet!

I didn't check in until 8:45pm due to work, and was greeted by 2 very happy, polite and professional receptionists Debbie and Libby. (Libby is actually an actor and I recognised her from the film IP man 4!!!) They checked me in promptly and managed to book me a table in the Beefeater restaurant - although it was at 9pm so I had to hurry to not miss dinner. I asked for a few more coffees as I like it strong and they gave me a little doggy bag which had just the right amount in for the morning. The room was clean and tidy and the usual comfortable bed. Working away isn't always fun and games, and I am usually stuck in a boring routine, but their smiles really made my evening. I can't fault Debbie and Libby, and I will definitely be stopping at this hotel again next time I'm working north west.

Stayed 1 night for work locally. Room was clean and tidy, bed was Premier Inn, clean linen and fresh. Ate next door at the Glegg Inn, again as expected. The menu was typical chain pub, the food was good and the staff were polite and friendly. Not the first time I've stayed here, and unlikely to be the last.

We just returned from a brilliant 4 night stay at the Premier Inn. We were consistently greeted with really friendly, kind and refreshingly helpful service by all staff on the front desk and by those servicing the rooms. It was so refreshing. Consistently greeted with big smiles and huge helpfulness for all our requests throughout our stay. Facilities were great. Very clean and such comfortable sleeps. Highly recommend. It was a refreshingly good stay and good value for money.

Great for our needs. Basic, spacious, plenty of towels and a fan - it was a hot room. TV channels need looking at, it’d be nice to be able to get something other than Judge Judy! Water in the room would be good. Breakfast decent especially as kids eat free.
