We were made to feel very welcome, nothing was ever a problem. Room was fabulous, staff very friendly, efficient. Cannot recommend highly enough

Absolutely stunning hotel full of history and yet so luxurious. Staff could not do enough afternoon tea was amazing. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. Would highly recommend.
We were at the hotel for a Bottomless Afternoon Tea with the fabulous D-Day Darlings Performing. The hotel is amazing. The food was delicious and kept on coming. The customer service was second to none, staff were so attentive we really were looked after. Can’t wait to visit again such a beautiful place
My husband and I got married at Hillbark last year and I really struggle for words to describe how amazing it was and how incredible Hillbark is - it really is one of a kind. From even the first appointment to view the venue to the wedding day, everything was perfect and they are so so good at what they do! All of the staff are incredible - shout out to Sherry and Daniel etc! Charlotte, our co-ordinator was brilliant - she is so professional, dedicated and reassuring. You know she has everything under control and she will look after you so well that you don't need to worry at all about any of the logistics of your day. She is also a lot of fun so is great to work with! The venue is beautiful and all our guests commented on how gorgeous it was and how high the standard of service from the staff was. The rooms are super comfortable and it was honestly the perfect venue for our wedding. The service provided by Hillbark is incredible and I could carry on for many many more paragraphs talking about how amazing they made us feel and how wonderful our day was thanks to them. Huge thank you to the whole team for making our wedding day so perfect x
Had the misfortune of having what should of been a special Christmas day dinner, completely ruined by extremely poor service and even poor quality food. I am still left shocked and saddened by the entire shambolic day. At £175 per person you would expect a lot more than hour long waits between stone cold courses and raw vegetables. We left after 3 of what should have been 6 courses extremely hungry and upset. I would give 0 stars and would never return or advise anyone to book here
My wife and I enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea as a belated anniversary celebration on Saturday 12th November. From the moment we were met by Lauren, our very personable hostess, at the hotel entrance until our departure, two hours later, we could not have been made more welcome and spoilt. Our table was prepared for our arrival in the beautiful bay window, which was flooded in sunshine and adorned with seasonal decorations. With the assistance of an attentive Mark and Molly we enjoyed a tasty selection of freshly prepared sandwiches, mousses, cakes and scones, not forgetting a glass of champagne and the obligatory cups of tea. Throughout, we were serenaded by Hotel pianist, Graham who took time out to visit us at the table for some pleasant conversation. Thank you to all the staff for a most relaxing, enjoyable and memorable afternoon.
We love Hillbark! We had our wedding here (Sept 22) and can’t speak highly enough of how amazing the venue, and more importantly, all the staff are. Charlotte and Amanda were incredible at every stage in helping us plan the day, and inspired nothing but complete trust in their ability to handle everything - very useful when we could only visit once every few months as we live so far away. The day itself was faultless, the food was incredible (thanks Craig!) and every member of the team was an absolute joy to be around - something all our guests commented on how lovely all the staff were, helping to make it such a perfect day. Keep up the good work everyone, we’ll be back to stay and say hello for sure!
The hotel is visually stunning and a very pretty wedding venue. Food was delicious. The guests that stayed said the rooms are very small and pricey and gave no air-conditioning on one of the hottest days of the year. They did not have enough fans for the rooms. We had no shade provided for an outdoor wedding ceremony and were left in the full glare of the sun. When we went for the wedding breakfast (delicious) we were sat next to huge windows which had small openings at the top only in full sun. No window coverings to shade the guests sat there. The butter for our bread was a puddle. The tables outside were in full sun. They had holes in for sun shades but the venue had none. The wedding was beautiful but they need to think about the comfort of the wedding guests and this venue was not prepared for the weather conditions at all.
