The Hotel and Room is great as is the location. Car Parking is very expensive however as there is no hotel car park. What was bad was that on 28 December we had to evacuate the hotel twice in one day. First time was at 09.30 and then again at about 20.40 - it turns out the fire alam is connected to the restaurants so if someone burns some toast in one of the many restaurants in the complex it sets the fire alarm for the entire building off and we all have to traipse out in our PJs. Obviously this is a major inconvenience for customers in near freezing temperatures. No apology or offer of anything at all was offered by the Reception Staff and they avoided eye contact as if to say they either weren't interested or they weren't empowered to offer anything for this massive inconvenience. I would say if you want a good nights sleep then go somewhere else.

Two sides to this review. The location is excellent, the building is stunning and really well converted to there are nods to the old building in the rooms which I really like. The downside is the sound proofing, or to be honest, complete lack there of. Every voice, TV in other rooms, people passing the door all seemed to echo and wake us. We use Premier Inn a lot, and will continue to do so, but never this one again, couldn't get a good night sleep. TV is also tiny, so if using as a family room you can't view it from the extra bed.

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel recently and was thoroughly impressed by the overall quality of the experience. The facilities were immaculate, the atmosphere welcoming, and the service consistently attentive. What truly distinguished my visit, however, was the exceptional hospitality provided in the restaurant by a staff member named Faye. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail elevated every meal into something memorable. Faye demonstrated remarkable knowledge of the menu, offered thoughtful recommendations, and ensured that each dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. It is rare to encounter someone who embodies the very essence of outstanding customer service, but Faye did exactly that. Her genuine care for guests and her ability to anticipate needs made a lasting impression. I would highly recommend this hotel not only for its excellent accommodations but also for the remarkable dining service, with Faye being a true credit to the establishment

The hotel is in a great central location and is in an amazing historic building. We loved seeing the original features throughout the hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and the room was comfortable. The only slight downside was that the discounted parking is a 10 minute walk away, which was no problem through our stay but felt a little far when carrying our luggage to/from the hotel.

Rooms were spacious and relatively clean. But dockside view windows were dirty so couldn't see much out of them. Service was brilliant at night on the bar. A lovely lady behind the bar gave my kids some Christmas cookies and sweets. But most of the "better" draft beers were empty. Morning service at breakfast wasn't so great though. Full English was very empty and there was quite a wait for it to be fully stocked. Old brickwork was very cool but the hotel is very dated and creaky now. Had a fair amount of wear and tear throughout so could do with some updating. Location is perfect. Entrance right in the dockside.

I usually stay at premier inns when travelling and find them satisfactory for the money you pay. This one felt quite old and outdated, I appreciate that it is in an old building but it was like a maze to get to the room. Bit of an odd smell in the corridor. In addition, the room didn't have a window looking out onto anything, but it was a window onto an atrium? So for those that like to see the outside it could probably be a bit claustrophobic. No plug sockets next to the bed if you wanted to charge devices etc. Bathroom was clean and simple. Took a while to check in but staff were friendly and polite. I would stay again if I had to but it is not worth the money. If you can afford it pay a bit more and go elsewhere.

Booked for 1 night & were able to check-in early using the extra £10 option which we didn't mind. Stephen on reception was great - very friendly & helpful. Top man. The room was small but ideal for the 2 of us. Very quiet throughout our stay & comfy beds so we had a good night's sleep. Clean throughout incl. the bathroom which had a nice hot shower. Only (very minor) gripes were that the room was a bit too warm at times & was also on the inside of the building, so we didn't have any sort of view from the window. We had no major issue with this though as we were only there to shower & sleep, & if we'd been staying any longer than 1 night we would have asked to be moved. Breakfast was great. Lovely food with plenty of choice which set us up nicely for the day, so no complaints. The building itself has plenty of character with the original red brick walls & archways, but we did get lost a couple of times as it's like a rabbit-warren! A great location for the dock area & an enjoyable walk along the river. It's also next-door to the Beatles Walk museum which was handy for us, & it's only a 10-20 minute walk to the town centre & Cavern Quarter. Would definitely stay there again & recommend to others.

Loved the location, but the room let our stay down. Our room was supposed to be a family, but I guess it was a double with a single bed parked in the window bay as it looked odd. The first night, we slept reasonably well. The room was warm due to no control over the air conditioning/heating system. The second night at 9pm, when we got back to our room after a meal, the heating/air conditioning unit was making a noise. We turned it off, but it was still making a noise. My husband reported it to the front desk, and they said the manager was in the bar and he would come and see us. We waited up until 11pm, but he never turned up! Our sleep was interrupted by the noise and also quite a bit of corridor noise from passing people. The corridor floors are very creaky, and you hear everyone passing your room. They could do with updating the rooms, the TV is tiny and very hard to watch. The beds are too hard and not comfy at all. Rooms need cleaning and not just bed making and a cloth smoothed around the bathroom. Skirting boards, tops of headboard, and lampshades need a warm damp cloth over them. The bathroom needs updating to a walk-in shower, not an over the bath shower, which is so outdated. Shame as the location really is fab! Shame about the room/hotel not being upto standard.

We stayed here at the very end of August, in a family room (number 420). The room itself is massive, we stayed with our 6ft odd 14 year old and never felt cramped or short of space (although storage space is somewhat lacking in all honesty). Our room had some of the best views I've ever experienced in a hotel - right on the top floor with windows out over the Arena/Liverpool eye on one side and the docks on the other. The only complaint was the lackluste air con which did little to cool down the room despite the modest temperature outside (it rarely ventured north of 23°).
