   I was paying one thousand and forty pounds per month for the grand studio. The photo shown on the laptop is a mid range studio advertised on their website, and most similar to the studio I'd been given, though they charged for the Grand. It was a gloomy and airless room that felt like a bad hotel room, with a very small window and a view dominated by the windows of surrounding buildings. The kitchen had only a hob and a microwave. There was no cutlery drawer and no drawer storage of any kind, only two usable shelves. An additional flat fee of eighty five pounds per month is added for electricity and there are separate charges each time the communal laundry is used. Apartment doors do not have traditional locks. Entry relies entirely on fobs that record movements in the building. There are security cameras everywhere possibly compensating for the absence of a twenty four hour concierge. The room was poorly designed and subject to frequent noise from the bottle collections at the Wetherspoons below, which occurred multiple times each day. The main reason for taking the apartment had been the understanding of a six month contract. When the paperwork was presented it stated a full year with no break clause. I was fortunate to leave after one month, as the apartment was clearly mis sold, but it was an unpleasant experience living their. In addition they attempt to keep £50 of every residents tenancy deposit money when they move out.

   The James is one of the best accommodation I ever stayed whilst I was in the Liverpool for 2 years. Back then, in the first year of me living here, in 2022, everything was so perfect; the manager at that time was the best. Whatever I asked for, she responded promptly and she did whatever she could to help me as soon as she could. The facility was also amazing; I always used the common room to work (I was working from home) and meet my friends. Also there used to be a session with PT every Saturday which I did enjoy a lot but it was sadly cancelled. So I decided to join yoga instead which I also enjoyed. However, after the former manager left, a man replaced her. Everything changed. For example, the common room, which I was allowed to get access to, was cancelled, so I had to show proof to him that I paid for it. The yoga class also had to be paid extra for each session. Also there was a period of time when I went back home to my home country and I wanted my friend to get the parcel I ordered for myself. I asked the manager and another colleague of him if my friend could get the parcel on my behalf, and he said yes. So that day, my friend came and asked for the parcel, but they didn’t let him get it and said no one said anything to him, even though he went there twice. Honestly this place was so good, I do love the place so much; modern and spacious room with large and nice bathroom. However my last 6-month stay in The James and UK was ruined because of the management here.

   Living at The James has been an incredible experience! The design, location, and staff are unmatched—the best I’ve come across. The team goes above and beyond to make your stay exceptional, and my 6 months here have been nothing short of perfect. With yoga, run clubs, and regular events, there’s a true sense of community that makes living here so special. The residents are also super friendly, which has helped me feel connected and supported, even while living alone. This is hands down the best accommodation in the area, and I love it so much that I’ve extended my stay. Highly recommend!

   An amazing place to stay, it is in the centre of Liverpool, and the room is very clean and large. The Wifi is also quick! Overall, I really enjoyed the stay at the James during the past two years. Also, when my parents visited me last December, they stayed at the James as well, and they had a really good experience. Ellie and John are so nice, friendly and helpful! Highly recommended!

   THE RIGHT CHOICE As an International worker at my first experience in the UK, I found in The James a really welcoming home that greatly eased the process of moving in a new country. The studio is modern, clean, and cozy and the staff friendly, efficient and always happy to help. Every week The James organizes plenty of social activities, which represent an excellent chance to bond with the residents and to relax after work. Residence amenities also include a wide luxury lounge and a well-equipped gym.

   An amazing place to stay, it is in the centre of Liverpool, and the room is very clean and large. The GM Jennifer is really nice and she answered all my questions when book the room, and she showed me the building on my first day. Also, the Wi-Fi is pretty good!

   I am living in The James per 6 months, and It's a very good place. It's my home! It's very clean, with nice people, with very attention staff. The GM Jennifer and Ellen are very kind! The place is very new! I really love live in this place. That's amazing! The best place to stay in Liverpool.

   A fantastic place for anyone to stay, the GM Jennifer went out of her way to help get my son sorted with a room. Nothing was any trouble for her, he is loving living there, staff are lovely, central to everything, very good value, spotlessly clean, and extremely well maintained. Would highly recommend The James without hesitation.
