   Would not recommend these unfortunately. We used Bury and Walkers for our mortgage and did nothing but chase them up. Promised emails on certain days then nothing… had to call to chase up and ask when we would be receiving documents. Promised calls back but then heard nothing. We questioned information on certain documents but they couldn’t give us an explanation, we were told “we’ll look into it” then went nowhere. On completion day, we received 2 emails with some final documents on: not a thanks for using us, good luck with your house, or anything. Totally ruined the experience for us, would not recommend these at all.

   We had always been looked after brilliantly by David Smith but since his retirement it’s a complete waste of time trying to get any help. I have phoned on numerous occasions for assistance with a simple legal matter on a property Bury’s dealt with and have all the details in hand, I can’t get anyone to phone me back despite the ladies in admin assurances that someone will! What a waste of a fantastic legacy left by a professional, competent and dedicated former employee

   Absolutely shocking solicitors avoid using Suzanne smith she has been doing the conveyancing on our house sale for 5 months now and she’s still not completed it and gone off on annual leave now and left us totally in the dark about the whole situation!!!!

   Beware!!! I recently collected the title documents for my property which Bury & Walkers have been holding for "safe keeping". When I opened the document pack I found that more than half of the papers were missing, when I asked why I was told that they had probably been thrown away as although they may have been historically interesting they weren't legally required. Thanks to Bury & Walkers of Wombwell I now have a house which dates back to the early 1800s with paperwork dating back to 1994. The Solicitor that I spoke to was arrogant and dismissive when I complained.

   By far the absolute worst solicitor / lawyers in the whole of the UK. I came to these guys for help. I gave them all they asked for and paid in full when asked and when I needed them the most they completely blanked me. Literally will not return emails or calls. Properly unprofessional and a waste of my time and money. Use ANYONE else but these!

   Bury and Walker are supposedly acting for a friend of mine selling his house to me via Bury and Walker. I have never known such bad service from a solicitor.He does not respond to requests from my Solicitor, has been promising my Solicitor with a Energy Performance Certificate for the past three weeks Without the EPC my Solicitor cannot complete Legally My Solicitor has been in funds for the purchase for a week now and still no corespondance from Bury and Walker. I phoned Bury and Walker today and two weeks ago, asking the so called Solicitor to reply to my Solicitors requests. The receptionist tried to put me through to the so called Solicitor but he refused to speak to me as I was not his client. What a joke for a so called professional company. Anyone reading this, if you need a conveyancing solicitor AVOID BURY AND WALKER LIKE THE PLAGUE.
