My 3 year old niece was brought in here for an emergency, she was then seen and placed in a life support machine with these doctors saying they can not stabilise her or save her. My dear beautiful niece ended up passing away moments later. The doctors, I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt for trying but “how hard did you try to save her”, just know that one day when you lot have children and I am sure you have nieces and nephews, god watches everything, how you do not go through the same thing or uses you as an example of karma.

I can only speak as I find, but I was sent to A & E from the 111 service on Saturday, from the minute I arrived to the moment I left I received excellent treatment. Even though the place was rammed they were dealing with the patients quickly. Vitals taken, bloods taken and results and advice given in three hours, which, these days is no time at all. Thankfully all my tests were fine. This was my first visit to Basildon A&E, I was more than satisfied. Thank you.

I have just been discharged from my third inpatient stay on Edith Cavell due to ongoing bowel issues. The staff on Edith Cavell are kind, compassionate, hard working and make a huge effort to make you feel safe and that your care is person centred. It’s a shame Basildon hospital has such a bad reputation because staff like all of the wonderful healthcare professionals on Edith Cavell really deserve recognition.

How brilliantly a place could treat me. Been to here for every check up and scan since I was a kid and I’ve never been let down on appointment times. Recently had to have a heart scan and when they felt that the imaging wasn’t sufficient they called me back on the same day at my convenience for a CT scan which i felt was quick considering how long I’ve been told CT scan wait times can be (3-5 hours) and had the results within the hour. Served with decent and accessible food for dinner and I felt listened to and informed about everything that was going on. The little moments of concern went a long way like a nurse crossing the ward after I refused a dessert as a vegetarian to find if it was edible for me without me asking. The care demonstrated to all patients - especially the elderly and those in pain - on the ward was commendable. Another time when I was bleeding a lot the nurses were calm and reassuring as they bandaged me up and had me out the door in minutes. I felt extremely satisfied with my care and not scared even with an emergency CT performed and fear of needles. 10/10 will come back to see if my heart needs tinkering or not

My wife slipped on ice on 21 st of last month, broke three bones in her ankle. A and E were excellent, triage , very quick, nurse excellent, x Ray slow and needs another system, another nurse very happy, friendly and informative. Then a scan which again was slow. Then surgeon who explained everything and answered every question, operation very smooth. If therestofher treatment follows the same standard we will be very pleased

My dad has been in hospital for 2 weeks now, admitted via A&E then moved to various wards as his clinical needs have changed. Nothing but praise for all the staff who have worked tirelessly to help him. These people truely are amazing at what they do.

Thank you for the continued and perfect care for my cousin. Yes it is a problem contacting the Frederick Banting Ward, but this is due to staff shortages, I have always been called back by the lovely, knowledgeable, ward sister with any questions I had. You are truly brilliant, nurses & Doctors , and so respected. From the Bird and Burn family we thank you from the bottom of our heart, and thank you for your truly dedicated service. We love you guys

I was pleasantly surprised! The staff were excellent. Fast and efficient, they were friendly and paid attention to detail. We were in and out within two hours which was very nice. Wonderful service that should be mirrored across all NHS hospitals.
