Unfortunately my experience at Blackhouse was disappointing. The service was extremely slow, our mains didnβt arrive for over two hours and when the meals did finally arrive they were subpar. I ordered from the Christmas menu and had the Turkey for main which was extremely dry and as you can see from the photo my pig in blanket looked to be cremated. Our desserts arrived just as we were about to leave as we had been at the restaurant 3 and a half hours at this point. The only positive to the experience was the lovely waiter that served us, who was completely embarrassed himself at how the evening transpired. We hope that this was just a one off experience due to it being busy.

Went here for food on Light Night and wasnβt disappointed. Everything was excellent. Great seafood starters including oyster, mussels and prawns. The mussels were quite small but still tasty. Steak was cooked very well and a good size. Staff very were friendly and professional. Cocktails were also very good. Good atmosphere with lots of people dining. Very good location for buses and trains. Would definitely recommend.

Went here a couple weeks ago for my wifeβs birthday and had a lovely meal. Absolutely delicious steak and sides. The live pianist was pretty good and our server Saul was a lovely guy and helpful to us in choosing what to eat. will be back again!

Incredible evening at Blackhouse for their event with Whitby Lobster Conservation. The food was next-level β the mixed prawns were a standout starter, and the lobster main was honestly unreal. Knowing how rare it is to try Whitby lobster (only 5% stays in the UK!) made it feel even more special. (We got here from the guys at Whitby lobster conservation and I learnt so many interesting facts which added so much to the event was just about food but the story). The jasmine curd dessert was light, refreshing, and perfectly sized. Wine pairings were spot on β not the biggest fan of the dessert wine, but thatβs personal taste (I prefer drier wines). What really stood out was the service. The staff were knowledgeable, genuinely passionate, and talked us through the menu with care. Easily some of the best service Iβve had in Leeds. An unforgettable experience β canβt wait to come back.

Amazing experience at black house on Saturday night! I came to celebrate with my partner and I couldnβt have asked for a better server. Kitty our server was so attentive to our needs, gave us good advice on food options and what wines would be good to compliment the dishes with. She even went the extra mile and gave us a desert to celebrate together which was a lovely touch. We left with full stomachβs, indulging on the best steak and drinks.

Absolutely great! The food and service today were amazing. We visited today with our two children and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The food and drinks were delicious.

We went there for Sunday lunch. The steak has only two options well done or pink and both were over cooked. The spuds were over cooked and disgusting! The Yorkshire puddings were burnt...I could have had a better meal in wetherspoons! Definitely not the value for money! The service is pathetic as well.

Had lunch here with family visiting from France so the standards were high. The calamari starter was up there as the best Iβve had anywhere and I get calamari every where that serves it! The chicken fajita main was perfect for lunch and comes on a cool hot plate! One of our party had the half chicken and it was huge and also tasted amazing! Service was also great and definitely worth the price point!

Went for a meal with some vendors from work. No masks required inside. Seated quickly and soon had drinks orders taken. There were some menu items not available but these were clearly covered off when we ordered. Starters were good, came out of the kitchen in a reasonable time, and were very tasty. Main courses arrived not long after and were decent size portions, hot, fresh, good quality and tasty again. Good service from the staff through the mail and more drinks provided. Toilets were clean and tidy, though were downstairs so not suitable for the mobility challenged - though it's a half flight of steps up to get to the front door as well. Overall good quality meal in pleasant surroundings with helpful staff. Not cheap, but great for a business meeting.
