We stayed at Stoke Place on 29/12/25, and our visit was ruined when our car along with 6 other cars was found with its window smashed in the hotel car park. After now seeing another review with same experience only a month ago As a hotel you need to do more for the safety of your guests We had a same experience with hotel and responsibility not there fault It was so upsetting to come out to a car park and be told by a guest Is your car parked here if so it would of been broken into they all have I felt awful for everyone there I could of cried Maintenance did help with clearing glass away which we where grateful for but other than that we left to get on with it Luckily a guest had notified the police and had AA out Honestly the AA couldn’t do enough for all of us but it wasn’t his responsibility he had come to deal with one car not 6 Do not take your car here if you stay it’s not safe For this to have happened twice in a month Feel sorry for all involved

Great quaint country hotel. The rooms though as is the theme with other reviews are in need of a refurb. My headboard was broken and there was rust and mold on the soap tray in the shower area. Great heated room and heated flooring in the bathroom was a nice surprise. We had breakfast included and found the lady serving intially a bit cold rather than a warm greeting in the morning. I arrived in the night and found signage could be better as well as lighting as having parked in the main car park and it was raining, it became an obstacle course to the main reception a couple mins walk away.

Attended a Christmas Party last week. The room was beautifully set up - the staff both waiting, bar and managers were excellent - attentive and helped with any queries. The food - well, I've been to many Christmas parties where the food served was cold and not much of it - not at Stoke Place - the all of the courses were hot, tasty and there was a lot on my plate! The hotel DJ was brilliant - the music placed ensured that the dance floor was not empty. I also, in the summer had afternoon tea there - just to see what the place was like etc. Again the food was excellent (warm scones yum!) waiting staff attentive. The site on the hotel is stunning - it was a hot day when `i went and the views from the veranda, over looking the lake, was stunning.

Amazing building in beautiful grounds with a fabulous lake. Plenty of free parking and good WiFi ,the restaurant and bar are also a nice place to relax. The menu is ok not a huge selection but does have a good selection. The bar only as two draft beers on offer a IPA and Moretti plus bottles are on offer. The rooms with a garden view are away from the main building but are basic but ok. All the staff are friendly and can’t do enough to ensure you have a great stay.

A beautiful hotel nestled in a quiet part of Slough, surrounded by countryside and a lovely pond in the garden. Competitively priced. It does, unfortunately need a lot of TLC and investment to bring it up to standard. The service was fantastic, with most staff very helpful and attentive. There are plenty of rooms both in the main house, and also garden rooms. The garden rooms were modern and well equipped, albeit much smaller. The issue I had with them was that there's a hospital nearby so the noise from ambulance sirens was very frequent and loud. If you're a light sleeper, this isn't great. I then moved to a room in the main house, very kindly accommodated by the reception staff. The room was huge, with beautiful views over the garden, with the benefit of a bathtub next to the window too. The room was tired. The mattress wasn't that comfortable but evidence of neglect all round. White painted cardboard was used to cover a hole in the ceiling (screwed in), the curtains were torn and the furniture was damaged. I did have a good sleep, however. The food was ok. Breakfast took a while to arrive, but the produce was nice. Dinner was a mixed bag. Quite expensive but good variety. I ordered steak cooked medium rare. It came out well done. When challenged, they said it was fine. I was too hungry to complain, so I ate it anyway. Overall, a lovely property, but in need of significant investment to bring it up to a good standard.

Gorgeous hotel! We were impressed by the site. Warm welcome from the lady at the reception. We booked a deluxe room which was the Gloucester Suite. When we opened the door of the room we were gobsmacked. The suite is massive, very beautiful. The bath is definitely one of the best feature. Yes the room could do with fresh paint here and there but it did not matter to us. We stayed for dinner. The food was delicious and the presentation was faultless. Our compliment to the chef ! Overall great stay, lovely staff, amazing food. Highly recommend !

We had a pleasant two-night stay recently. The staff/service was good throughout. Small items of maintenance in the room would have helped - there were no plugs in the washbasins, there was no toilet brush and the shower could only be aimed at the wall. Food was pleasant and reasonable value with the inclusive DBB rate although the full price would have been expensive for what it was.

The place is beautiful, has a charm and beautiful woodlands around. Beautifully decorated with Christmas tree at this time of the year. The food was good, the stuff was helpful and nice. Love the place is dog friendly and so close to Windsor. However... Unfortunately, the bed in our room was uncomfortable, and because of that I had back pain and couldn't sleep most of the night. The mattress was just too hard and no bouncy at all. Pillows were great to rest head. When I finally fall asleep I was woken up after 5 am by other two guest who had a room next to us. They were clearly drunk and swear a lot till almost 8 am. In result, we headed home more tired than on arrival.

Wonderful hotel that is just very elegant and comfortable. The staff are wonderful and make you feel outstandingly welcome. The food from the restaurant is beautifully presented and prepared. We were there for 2 nights in one of the Gatehouse lodges which are lovely. Just a very lovely place for a weekend away. I suspect we will be back.

Working a couple of days a week in the area meant I needed to find a hotel to overnight at . After having tried a handful, mostly the usual suspects, I settled on Stoke Place. Lot of character in the building and a lovely setting. At some point I'll have to go for a wander around the grounds. On my earlier stays, there was a bowl of apples at reception - with a note explaining they were from their own trees and to help yourself. Things like this are a nice touch. Rooms can be a little 'quirky' but all the better for it in my view - you know you aren't staying at a sterile hotel chain. By this I mean creaky floorboards type of thing - it's an 18th century building, it's allowed. Can be a little more embarrassing if its noisy plumbing and you need to get up during the night. Beds are excellent and comfy. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delight - they've won me over to black pudding, no fried to a crisp thin slice here...soft, hot and a good flavour. View out of the Breakfast room is a fine start to the day too! I cant really comment on evening meals as have only eaten once, in the bar.
