First time staying at The Foley Hotel and I was very impressed. Beautifully designed rooms and dining areaβ€”every corner feels warm and inviting. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices, including made-to-order options. The room was comfortable, the bed was soft, and I slept very well. Convenient parking and close to the train station. Would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were clean, comfortable and adequate to requirements. There was a good diverse choice of meals. Although there was a limited range of gluten free and vegan options, the staff had made good endeavours to help with these options which was very much appreciated. My friend and I would like to acknowledge the geniality with which they respectfully served the meals. In addition, they were very accommodating in our requests to make take-away toasts for the early morning dash to our venue. We found the staff to be very cordial and friendly. It was certainly an enjoyable stay with special thanks to Richard, Nicholas and Savanah.

We stayed at The Foley while attending a wedding at Hampton Court and couldn’t have been happier with the choice. The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated, and having a great pub/restaurant on-site was a real bonus. The staff were unfailingly polite, professional, and friendly, making our stay feel relaxed and welcoming. Thank you for a lovely visit.

Fabulous stay at The Foley. All the staff are amazing, lovely relaxed atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was large, clean and well decorated. Very good complementary toiletries in bathroom to use. Ate in both nights and food was delicious. Would definitely go back if needed to stay in Surrey again.

What a lovely way to spend our weekend! Check-in was so smooth, and we were even able to have the room earlier than expected, after such a long flight! Thank you very much to Richard for accommodating this, he is an absolute star. Walking into our room, the air conditioning was a lovely treat, along with some classical music. I was pleasantly surprised to see a β€˜sweet treat’ on the desk, being homemade cookies. I have intolerances, so it was reassuring to see the ingredients listed on the jar. The room was spotlessly clean and I can’t remember the last time I slept that comfortably - I need to know where they get their mattresses from. Dinner was superb, and again, the team were able to inform me of the gluten free options on the menu and were very knowledgeable. The bar had a lovely wide variety of drinks and non alcoholic options as well, it was very lively but had such a good atmosphere. To end our stay, we thoroughly enjoyed breakfast and even stayed for a light lunch whilst we waited for our friends to fetch us. Overall such a spectacular stay and we cannot wait to come back when we’re in Claygate again. Definitely recommend.

Great atmosphere with helpful, charismatic staff! Was the perfect place for a Saturday evening out. Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back as soon as possible.

This is our local pub that we use mainly for drinks but this year we thought we'd spoil ourselves and book a table for Christmas dinner, what a mistake! We arrived at the alloted time of the 2.30pm sitting, only to find that the restaurant was already full with people on their 1st & second courses already, so we felt somewhat late to the party! It was advertised as having a drink and appetiser on arrival but we were seated for 20 mins before we got it. The starter was fine, although a tiny portion but the main course of full roast xmas dinner was a complete let down. My gammon was fatty, the duck overcooked and the turkey was dry. The vegetables were awful, dry hard potatoes ( seemed like pre cooked and warmed up), just 3 tiny brussel sprouts, a couple of tiny, thin, julienne carrots and some orange mash which may or may not have been sweet potato with swede? The one parsnip was undercooked and the creamed leeks were non existant on my plate. The only nice bit was the gravy, although not enough. And, although not advertised, there was no stuffing!.......REALLY? My dessert was supposed to be apple & fig crumble but it wasn't crumble in any sense that I know, it was mushy apples with a crumbled biscuit topping and a slither of fig on top. All of the 3 waitresses served us but when I say 'served' I mean that all they did was place the pre ordered courses on the table, there was no communication, didn't even ask us if we wanted any wine, drinks or water with the meal. We didn't, as it happened, we had brought our own to the table but it would have been nice to have been asked. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated although quite dark, but there was no real Christmas atmosphere, it all felt very flat. At the end of the meal we went into the bar and I ordered a brandy coffee, when it was brought to the table it was black. So I took it back to the bar and asked for cream, only to be told they didn't have any! Talk about add insult to injury. Why didn't they mention that when it was ordered? There was no sign of the manager anywhere, in fact we haven't seen him at all during our last few visits, seems like he leaves the staff to get on with it. We certainly won't be eating there again.

Very clean and welcoming hotel. Room was large with coffee well stocked, bathroom modern and large comfy bed. Didnt use the bar side however it looked busy in the evening and the restaurant has a good reputation. Close to town and station

A difficult one this, the rooms were good if a slightly tired. Very comfortable bed and no traffic noise. The food was left wanting if you're a vegetarian/vegan. They just don't understand the basics like vegans can't have butter or milk but vegetarians can ! The staff are generally very helpful but the organisation skills of what I gather is the manager are not good, as is type of humour.
