Had an overnight stop here, comfortable bed and a quiet room. Food available on site. Enjoyed an evening meal and cooked breakfast the following day. Plenty of parking on site.

I came from abroad in November 2025 to stay for 2 weeks. Stayed in room 419, a "Standard Room Plus" in the fourth floor facing the West and 30-40 meters from the railway. The room was pre-booked online and check-in/check-out processes were smooth and quick. This detailed review and my photos describe my experience, my observations, and bring some interesting little details to surface. If you find this review useful, please like it. GENERAL: Travelodge is a 4-storey building. Ground floor is for entry/exit only. Reception and cafeteria/mini-restaurant are in the first floor. Rooms (124 in total) are in the second, third, and fourth floors. The floors are served by two elevators and one spiral staircase (wide & comfortable), half-encapsulated by a glass facade. All common areas including corridors are clean and well maintained. I did not use the restaurant but had a glance at the breakfast buffet. Looked quite basic. THE ROOM: See "Rooms" below. THE BATHROOM: Impeccably clean and flawless. Meticulous attention was given to the sealing and finishing during construction. The silicone (or possibly polyurethane) runs were some of the most professional ones I have ever seen. Water pressure, despite being on the highest floor, was high and constant at all times. Opening the wash basin faucet does not reduce showerβs water flow. Hot water is immediately available: never took more than 5 seconds to come out burning hot. Shower tray is a bit less than 1 square meter with a good-quality curtain of adequate length. Water does not seep outside. No traces of mould or fungus anywhere. The shower head is fixed. A shower head with a flexible hose would have been nice. Note: Keep the bathroom door closed when there is steam vapor inside to avert activating the smoke alarm located just outside to bathroom door. Foaming handwash dispenser is provided near the wash basin and a liquid gel dispenser in the shower. The foaming handwash scent is great and I found out that the brand is Enliven (Orange Blossom and Bergamot). Hard to find in the market despite searching extensively. Finally, the exhaust ventilation runs in the bathroom around the clock. There is no fan in the wall but itβs rather part of a central ventilation network having large exhaust fan(s) at central locations. HOUSEKEEPING: Rooms are normally cleaned once a week but can be additionally cleaned any day upon demand. You can hang βdonβt disturbβ outside your door or βtop me upβ. If you hang the latter, they change your towels and replenish your coffee/tea station. I have noticed in my floor that 2 housekeeping stations are in action during cleaning hours.

Sandip went well out of his way to ensure I had any food and beverages I requested. His hospitality was spot on given the unsocial time of day I decided to use the hotels facilities. Nothing but credit to him. I favour this franchise over all others.

Was staying here during a work trip last week in 344, and got bitten to shreds by bed bugs! No help/change of room provided so had to sleep fully clothed (hood up/socks and shoes on) at the end of the bed to avoid further bites, didnβt do much though as Iβm still covered in 50+ bites. Wouldnβt stay here again!

We had a lovely experience staying at the Travelodge in Guildford. The late-night receptionists were absolutely amazing, they went above and beyond to sort out an issue with our booking quickly and professionally. They were friendly, reassuring, and made us feel really well looked after after a long day. The room was clean, comfortable, and just what we needed. Overall, a great stay with exceptional service!

I had a room with a fridge and microwave which were clean but the carpet had sticky patches on it. The bed was comfortable and the heating control easy to use. The shower was powerful and hot although the shower curtain does try to wrap you up! Dispensers for soap didn't work and I reported them at the end of my stay as I didn't need to use them. When I mentioned on my way out to reception they immediately apologised and thanked me for reporting the issue. All in all a.good enough stay for a business trip and for the price, oh and as for parking watch out as the spaces are thin!

First room was next to a huge air con machine which drove me nuts in 2 seconds so we asked to move. Other side was train line which the lovely receptionist explained would also involve noise! However, train strike! Result! Peace and quiet. I therefore don't know if I'll return if both sides are noisy but can honestly say perfect lovely nights sleep in a clean and warm room!

Basically this was average, but i think Travel lodges are nowadays. The reception staff were not great. They could see i was waiting to check in but just ignored me! The carpets through all areas are pretty disgusting and need a good clean or renewing. My bedroom was clean, bed comfortable, but my shower wouldn't drain the water quick enough, causing the bathroom to flood! Reported it to reception, not sure if anyone came as the towels were left in the room still soaking, and it still didn't drain, so highly unlikely they never looked at it. The walk to my room was also the furthest point away, so not great if you have mobility problems. The corridor leading to my room had a terrible smell of Cannabis which was very overwhelming. On arrival for my stay this time round, i checked in only to be told my whole month of accommodation had been cancelled by customer services, with me receiving no notification. Fortunately enough they were able to reinstate my booking for the month.

Bedding was absolutely disgusting. Top sheets black and smelt, looked like they hadnβt been washed for six months. Mattress cover was so stained, it was difficult to see the original colour. After taking it to reception, there was no apology. Would avoid this hotel at all costs. Never again!

First was given a room that hadnβt been cleaned from the previous guests. The 2nd room we were given had hair in the shower, there were bags of rubbish and dirty linen left in the corridors. The bed was really uncomfortable. Lastly we paid Β£8 for βunlimitedβ breakfast and basically got dried up left overs there was hardly any food left even though there was still 45 mins until breakfast finished.
