Great and fabulous afternoon tea with a superb view to the Park. An unexpected welcome by bson and a high quality of dishes made by the chiefs. I also thanks Max for his warm talk. For sure I will come back and recommend to any one to push the door and enjoy the ambiance, the service and the exceptional afternoon tea, so far the best I took for many years in the area. Thanks to all the team ;)

My family meets every Christmas for breakfast, this year was the best! The service that Ralph (on the bar) gave us was so warm, professional and friendly. Thank you Ralph and a very merry christmas to you and your co workers.

Me and my wife had our wedding reception here. Overall it was a great day and experience however there are a few things the hotel and staff could improve on. Firstly we were meant to be allowed to decorate the room we hired at 5pm the day before the wedding. However, less than 24hrs before I was notified that the room was booked for an additional event till 11pm. This resulted in me and my wife having to decorate the room at 11:30pm the night before our wedding. Obviously this was a massive spanner in the works for us but we managed to sort it all out. Krystina did her best to find a solution to our problems so I thank her for that. The food and staff were really good so can't fault that. Im the end, I think the hotel should improve their communication with customers and value their time and money.

We’ve had a lovely stay with our kids last weekend. It was our daughter‘s birthday and we used the hotel as a base to get into London, although we should have spend more time there really. The park around it is stunning and the kids loved climbing the trees. Our room was super comfortable and dinner in the Orangery delicious, pizzas on the kids menu are massive (one happy boy!) The restaurant has fabulous views over Cannizaro Park, what a lovely surprise at breakfast. Staff were all very caring and made sure we or the kids were catered for, they had even put a surprise treat for the birthday girl into our room, when we came back from London. She was over the moon. Highly recommended, it’s such a lovely hotel.

I am very conflicted about this hotel. Location excellent. Plenty of parking but charged at £12 per night which I think is very expensive. Room spacious and has everything (small fridge, safe etc). There are lamps on the bedside tables but for the life of me I couldn't find the switch but that turned out to be a good thing because that plug is the only one next to the bed. Bathroom very small with the toilet right next to the wall which made the situation a bit uncomfortable. WiFi was good but for some reason some apps wouldn't work (my banking app for example). Breakfast in my opinion is very expensive for what is being offered. £17.5 per person for continental buffet and you can order hot food. I ordered the French toast with bacon and maple syrup. As you can see from the photo it's just one slice of French toast, I would expect bigger portions for that money. Lastly the rooms don't have numbers but names, full names which makes navigation a bit difficult. Personally I don't think I will be back because there is no value for money.

Room was opposite the store so a lot of door banging went on during our stay. The shower had orange mould and we had no hot water for showers in the morning. Breakfast service was a shambles and the English breakfast was over cooked and dried out. We did have an enjoyable lunch in the orangerie and a tasty cocktail in the bar.

This is the second time I’ve come for a late lunch with a friend to the lounge bar, and the second time our food took too long to arrive and was lukewarm when served. I ordered the pesto chicken, it arrived as a baguette - which was fine, but there was no mention of bread in the meal description. My friend had to send her meal back as it wasn’t cooked properly, and when it arrived the second time, it was still lukewarm. When we flagged this to 2 waitresses, there was no initiative to resolve. One even asked if we ate the food! Only George, working in the bar/lounge area, had good customer service skills and offered us a discount on the bill. Throughout our meal, no one asked at any point if everything was ok with our food. There was only one other table taken in the lounge area, so it wasn’t even busy. Avoid eating here. You get better customer service in Nando’s!

My boyfriend and I have visited the hotel a couple of times now, our room was beautiful. On the second visit I had foolishly booked the wrong dates for our room. Rita was wonderful and straight away saved us from panicking as she went out of her way to call the booking agent and help us change the date. Saving us time, money and stress! We felt very looked after, and will most definitely be returning.

Went for late afternoon drinks (3:30pm). The restaurant terrace was empty but was told we couldn’t sit in there due to them preparing for dinner service, so was sat in the lobby bar. No one arrived after us for the entire duration of our drinks so I still don’t understand why we couldn’t have sat in there. I ordered a signature gin and tonic which was supposed to come with elderflower tonic, raspberry and orange. I made a point of highlighting this to the waitress when I ordered. However, when the drink came it was just the gin measure, standard tonic and a slice of lemon. Not as described in the menu.

I am sorry it has taken a while to write this review, I have been away a lot. The stay in April was for my wife's birthday, and you made it very special for her as well as the rest of the family. All the staff, especially Honor, were amazing, and I am looking forward to visiting again soon. Even though dogs were not allowed in the dining room, you made a big effort to make us all feel very welcome in another room, making the whole experience special. Also, for those who like to walk, the grounds are wonderful, but go further than the flower gardens and into the woods at the back. Hotel du Vin have great hotels, and this is probably the best aesthetically. I have a good time in all your hotels, and this visit upheld the high standards of quality and service I have expected over the years.
