Met friends here for drinks. My picante arrived with no salt rim and I knew it was a sign. Everything looks scruffy, carpets visibly mended where they have rips. Service is lack lustre and not good. All of my cocktails came unvarnished and seemed to be watered down. Overall I do not see the appeal. There are plenty of much better quality bars and experiences in London.

Standards here have seriously slipped. The place used to feel fresh and well-run, but now it’s the opposite. The whole vibe is so male-dominated — honestly feels like they don’t care about any other gender using the space. The changing rooms are constantly a mess, half the lockers don’t work, and the ice bath is almost always out of use. When the gym first opened, it was spotless and really well managed, but now it just feels dirty and unmaintained. The wet spa area is gross, towels everywhere, no one clearing up. The only good thing they’ve done recently was bringing in the reformers, and that was ages ago. Still don’t get the whole tie-in with MARCHON — it’s like a bunch of meatheads think they own the place. For what they charge, it’s just not it anymore. I signed up two years ago when it actually felt premium, but the standards have dropped massively. I’ve now cancelled my membership and joined Third Space — the difference in quality and atmosphere is huge.

We had a lovely dinner for our friend’s birthday - food was excellent and setting was stunning. Drinks up by and pool were great too - the fire pit made it very cosy! All the staff were lovely and attentive. Special shout out to Ed though who was funny, professional and very knowledgeable. A credit to the team. Can’t wait to come back!

White City House is one of the newer offerings in the SH group. It’s large over 2 floors with another floor for events as well as rooms and gym in the basement. The house set out nicely and I have always found plenty of space to sit. The service is fast and friendly and the food is pretty standard for SH but does have Pen Yen by the pool which is usually good. The pool is great but get incredibly busy in the summer and you need to book in advance to have any chance of a sun lounger. The gym is big and well equipped but for me far far too dark. There is also an I door pool and spa area which are nice. Can’t speak to the rooms as never stayed. It’s close to the tube and also Westfield for any shopping.

As an international visitor to London and a guest of a member, I was not expecting to experience such amazing service. Everyone on the front of house team we experience were friendly, professional and took care to ensure we had an enjoyable experience right from the greeting on arrival through to the care and attention provided by Matthew throughout our visit. A special highlight was Matthew's service. He was exceptional. His knowledge of the wine list, insights into the menu options and just the right amount of attention ensured we had a memorable experience. Best service I have ever experienced in London. I should also note, the interior design was midcentury modern with a contemporary twist - loved it.

Beautiful space unfortunately let down by the food (sunday roast is paper thin slivers of beef fat, served room temperature) and disorganised service (you’ll have half a dozen waiters, expect to ask all of them for a missing dish or the bill before it finally comes). The spa just has bored people staring at their phones. Anytime you actually relax or god forbid laugh here you feel out of place. It’s not like it’s a scene, it’s just a lot of self conscious people struggling to feel welcome. Many of the floor staff are lovely, management clearly are at pains to make it a special place, the disconnect seems to be somewhere in between.

I went to a Soul DJ set here and was impressed with the place. The music was in the main bar area just inside the front door. The chairs were comfortable and you can get served at your table. I had Thai chicken bites as a snack and they were tasty. The ambiance of the place was really chilled with soft red lighting. All in all, a nice place! The only drawback was they didn’t have a cloakroom for coats.

Membership only, plus guests of which I was one. Has a sophisticated air about it which would appeal to a younger ‘upwardly mobile’ consumer group. I went to a screening in the Electric Cinema - very plush, intimate setting. Most enjoyable.

Former member. Returned for a roast on Sunday. Food was average. Came cold. Politely sent it back. It came cold again. Reminded me of Christmas left overs but without the microwave. I made no fuss. Consumed part of it and then left without the appetite for desert. Criminal.
