IHG have cancelled our Coronation weekend booking. My children were looking forward this wonderful experience but prices have quadrupled and no doubt IHG are wanting to cash in. I reached via twitter and their customer support but was basically told they were honouring the booking and couldn’t offer an alternative. This isn’t the sort of company that I trust β€˜ like to do business with my Karma reach out to them at some point

I honestly wouldn’t bother; I booked this hotel many months ago and I got an expected phone call to say the booking would be cancelled and that was it was upto me to find another hotel. This was very worrying as I intended to see Coldplay 19th August and I booked this in good time which meant most other hotels were much further away and at a higher cost. I found Holiday Inn Express very unsupportive. I phoned Holiday Inn Express to make a complaint and was on the phone for over an hour. After speaking with a supervisor, I was informed that I was liable for any increased costs and that they had no responsibility after cancelling the booking, which I find completely unfair and an abuse of my custom. I will not be making any further bookings through Holiday Inn Express after this encounter as it was very stressful and should be more straightforward. There were plenty of other hotels available, however they would not consider honoring the price I already agreed. Sounds like money making to me as opposed to treating customers with fairness and respect

Had a reservation booked here in June to be called up yesterday and told that our reservation had to be cancelled due to the hotel not reopening until August now. I asked for a confirmation email to be sent through, I have now rung up 3 times to request this sent through and everytime to be told it has been cancelled. Great... send me a cancellation email then so I know no money will be coming out of my account for somewhere I am not staying? We were due to stay for a concert date, we have now had to spend twice as much to get accommodation in SLOUGH as around London is way too expensive and everywhere is booked up due to the concert. So not only have we had to spend more money on accommodation but also spending travel money to and from. I will not be chancing staying with a Holiday Inn again if they take bookings not even knowing if their hotel will even be open..... She offered no alternative hotels or arrangements either... pretty shocking customer service!

The staff were so friendly and helpful on the front desk and in the restaurant and bar. They couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was really good, lots of choice and tasty. I would have liked tinned tomatoes. The pull out sofa was very uncomfortable and sagged in the middle so ended up putting the mattress on the floor. The main bed was very comfy though.

This is not what you would expect from a normal Holiday Inn Express...at least not in the US. This one felt a little subpar for an HIE. The room we stayed in had a leak in the ceiling the first night. They fixed it the following day but not before leaving a wet spot in the room for the duration of our stay. As you can imagine with wet carpet the smell was also a little off. Our first night we ate at the hotel itself and I wouldn’t recommend it. You can find a nice place within walking distance for similar prices. The parking is limited...especially if they are hosting some sort of event so be mindful of that if you’re bringing a car. The nearest tube station is also a little over a mile away. You might be better off finding another hotel closer to another station. The breakfast was the bright spot during our stay. They had a good variety to choose from as well as some kosher offerings for those needing it. I’m pretty sure I drank my weight in hot chocolate while we were there too.

This is a great value hotel for families. Stayed for 2nights, one adult and 2 teens and it was great. The room was clean and spacious enough and the breakfast was good. The sofa bed was surprisingly comfy as it didn't seem like it would be. The nearest tube is a bus ride away but the buses are frequent and the bus stop is right outside. Although the hotel is very close to the busy north circular the sound proofing is great. We had a family with a baby in the next room but never heard a thing. A short drive from the M1 and free parking make it an easy get in and get out for anyone coming from the north. Lovely staff too.
