The location was quite convenient. However, the elevator is out of order and they do not plan on repairing it, so you have to carry your luggage many floors. The heating does not work and they do not provide any extra heater, the rooms are really cold. Do not recommend!!!
The reception staff were great but that’s one of the only good things about this hotel, other than the location. My room was the dreariest, most depressing hotel room I’ve ever stayed in, more like a cell than a hotel. The hotel is badly in need of refurbishment and a bloody good clean. The lounge area was so dusty you could write your name in the dust and wasn’t cleaned once in my 4 night stay. The rooms are serviced but apparently emptying bins and replacing shampoos etc is not a thing. Neither is emptying the bin which was done once in 4 days. The shower was either scalding hot or ran cold and I’d like to meet the genius who thought that high gloss tiles are appropriate for a shower pan. Beware! The shower was dark but probably a good thing because on closer inspection it was grotty. Avoid this place. Pay just a little extra and stay at The Oliver Plaza literally 50m away which is fantastic
I'd call this hotel a two star hotel. The good things- friendly staff, great location next to the Earl's Court tube stop with plenty of supermarkets and food options nearby. The room and the hotel are safe and clean. The bad.... Very small room for us with older, worn decor. The elevator wasn't working, and from reading past reviews that's not uncommon. The stairs are steep and narrow so taking the luggage up and down the 57 steps to the third floor (see picture) was a bit of a challenge. There is no air conditioning, so I suspect the upper floors will be a bit stuffy during a warm summer's day or night, although there was a large sliding window to let fresh air in. There was a ceiling fan too but neither I nor the hotel staff could figure out a way to get it to turn on. If you can get this hotel at a low rate and all of the above isn't a big deal for you, then you're good. Otherwise, I'd only stay at this hotel if it was a available at a very low rate.
Mayflower hotel provides the bare essentials at a low price for budget conscious travellers. This is a no frills hotel. Rooms were clean but quite small. Staff were friendly and courteous. The hotel itself is located few mins away by foot from the Earl's Court train station as well as within a walking distance of several food outlets and shops. Okay for very short stays.
The hotel was very well located but that was it! It was dusty and the rooms were not clean. We found cigarette buds and lighters under the bed. We were made to move twice because there was no water in the first two rooms. Then we had a room with no hot water and we’re given keys to a room to go shower which was like a storage and had a used toilet brush in the sink. Just bad experience overall!
Great location! Very close to to Earl‘s Court tube Station and various bus stops. The area is also not very noisy, we slept with open windows every night. Our room was available before check in time and the staff were all very friendly! The room was also great, good size for London, especially the bathroom.
Okay place to stay for a sleepover with uncomfortable beds! The location is second to none though. Staff is very polite and check in/out went like a breeze. Again, it's you get what you pay. Probably not a 3 star hotel but okay. No breakfast or any leisure bar but good backyard garden. Bathroom is nice. Very small room but equipped with a safe and kettle. I stayed only 1 night.
A very well located hotel within minutes from the underground and on a beautiful street. The room itself was quirky and comfortable, especially with the ceiling fan and the added extra toiletries. However, it was dusty, the tea set was missing a cup and clean glasses, there was a kettle base but no kettle and no tea/coffee but sugar. There was also a dead bird right outside the window which was pretty grim.
Clean and adequate but that's about all. I paid £92 per night for a 4-poster double, room 22. The room is small and seems like an after thought. It's at the back near the cleaners cupboards. Getting a glimpse of other rooms, this is definitely not equal to others in this hotel. Admittedly usable but very small for the money. Shower is hot and flow is good, although the door leaks water from the cubicle and, yes, the shower and toilet room itself is tiny too. Low quality tea and coffee supplies in the room. It isn't a bad stay but I'm not sure I'd come back. I think you'd get more space in a budget chain.
