Great experience at Abercorn house. Many reviews seen to be expecting the full hotel experience for a hostel price, but that's just silly. We booked a room with an ensuite bathroom. The shower was simple but nice. The toilet was the same. The beds were fine for the price, although you could slightly feel the springs in the mattress, but we had a week of good sleep on there. The kitchen was mostly clean unless someone just cooked there. They changed our bedsheets every two days which we felt was pretty nice. There was some noise sometimes but that's to be expected of a youth hostel, and earplugs help a lot. Noisy people were quickly told to be less noisy so it was fine. We had a fridge as well. The freezer compartment didn't work but the fridge itself was fine and kept our drinks and breakfast nice and cold. There was only one other outlet in the room which is a bit meh but we brought a power strip so we had no trouble. Overall a pretty decent hostel experience. You get what you pay for and shouldn't expect hotel service.

It seems looking at some other review, people expect hotel quality from this place. It's best to keep in mind that this is a hostel. Location is excellent!! I was happy with the room, it was clean but a little worn in places. I had a twin bedroom on the ground floor and I was impressed that I had no issues with noise outside. However it does seem that the walls between rooms/corridors are paper thin, and this did disrupt my sleep a bit. I would recommend wearing ear plugs!

The rooms were very basic, but for an overnight stay in Hammersmith it was perfect The staff on reception were welcoming and friendly on arrival, our room was spotless and very clean. Beds were comfortable and considering it was freezing outside the room was a decent temperature

Great budget hotel. Super close to a bunch of places and just off the main road so it's quieter than other places. Hotel itself can be noisy with the fire hotels but otherwise no issues. Communal bathrooms were clean, though clearly have been there for many years and could do with a touch up. Separate cubicles in men's and women's showers + neutral cubicle toliet stalls. All cleaned every morning and soap/body wash/shampoo is provided Several kitchenettes to each area, all equipped with basic stuff, though if you want to use the oven you'll have to bring stuff yourself. Staff were great and no issues Simple cheap hotel

It`s ok for a short trip. Very close to the tube. I had 4 beds room, only with my friends, so it was convenient. The mattress was soft, comfortable, I slept well. The room cleanliness is good. The cleanliness of the bathrooms is bad, that's a disadvantage + wi-fi fee.

The only positives I can give is my sheets (appeared) to be clean and I got a private room and it was quiet. That said, the place was disgusting. The sink drain was open and smelt like raw sewage. Bugs, accumulated dust, the floor hadnβt been mopped, etc.

Stayed here 2 weeks while searching for apartment. Location is good, generally very clean and rooms laundered every 2nd day. Will need airplugs at night though and the kitchen has no utensils for oven or stove top so ate mostly food with tinfoil containers. For a London hostel, definitely one of the best I've stayed in for the price

Toilets and shower were filthy. Reception not friendly at all. Location is good very close to the bus stop. Quite cheap for me as I needed a few hours to sleep. I checked in quite late and left quite early. If youβre staying for a night and not planning to use the shower, then thatβs fine for the price. I stayed in a dorm room. So Iβm not sure about private rooms maybe they are better. I did not expect much anyway so itβs fine.
