I hear this is where prince andrew took little boys to when he was (looking after them) as there was loads of baby oil in the bedside table, 10/10 would recommend just for its history. However I would not use a purple light in there as it tough to see quite frankly. I wish it could rate higher

Two years ago to this very day, I had the honour of staying at the palace that is Paddington Flats. I’ve stayed in many places since, but few have etched themselves into memory the way this one did. It’s taken me two years to truly gather my thoughts—to sit, reflect, and put into words the experience that was, quite frankly, transcendent. To be or not to be? Paddington Flats answers that question with a flamboyant to be, every single time. From the moment we stepped in, it was as if time slowed down. The chaos of London melted away, and in its place stood serenity, comfort, and quiet confidence. This wasn’t just accommodation—it was a state of mind. To spend a night at Paddington Flats is like riding a rainbow on a summer’s day. Joyful, surreal, and a little bit magical. The beds? Like being wrapped in a hug from the universe. The atmosphere? Shakespearean. The energy? Immaculate. In short, Paddington Flats didn’t just host us. It held space for us to breathe, laugh, and be. And for that, I’m still grateful.

I booked a room at Paddington Flats but couldn’t even stay one night. The building was in an appalling state—filthy and overrun with mold. The moment I walked into the room, I was hit by a strong smell of dampness. Mold was visibly growing on the walls and ceiling, making the environment feel completely uninhabitable. While the on-site staff were polite and tried to assist, it was clear that the issues were beyond their control. The state of the building was unacceptable, and I couldn’t risk my health by staying there. I had no choice but to leave immediately and find alternative accommodation. It’s disappointing that such conditions exist in what’s supposed to be a hospitality establishment. I wouldn’t recommend Paddington Flats to anyone. Rating: 1/5

Where to start with this hell hole… Got the keys, no problem- wish I hadn’t though! The room was on a slant, the stairs were incredibly steep, and don’t even get me started on the disgusting bathroom. A random shoeless man kept hiding from us as we walked around the hotel… no idea why, he didn’t even make eye contact with us. Then saw a different man (?) in the bathroom with the door open, seemingly sat on the bin? Again, no interaction, for obvious reasons. There wasn’t any soap, the cupboard door in the room was weirdly a fridge door. At one point during the day I heard somebody incessantly rattling the door handle, and I thought it was ours, which was scary. Though when we left, nobody seemed to be out there. There were weird stains on the floors and the carpets, wondered even if it was blood as some stains seemed red (though it likely wasn’t). Don’t book this for more than one night, even then it’s a stretch. Please spend the extra money, because now I’ve affectionately (not) nicknamed this the “murder” hotel because of the appalling circumstances.

This place is a health hazard and has to be shut down. My body itches all over and I’ve never experienced living conditions like this before. Let me start this tale from the beginning and hopefully this review (amongst other reviews) helps hopeful travellers with a lust for life to avoid this place. We stayed for 2 nights - nobody was there when we went to collect keys even though we had arranged in advance and I had phoned an hour in advice to confirm time to pick up keys. I contacted the host several on the number provided, he did not answer and when he eventually did, he said his associate would be at the property to let us in. My partner and I walk to the property, there was no doorbell, we knocked on the door - nothing. We phoned the host - nothing. We phoned their separate hotel number and someone answered to let us know that the associate was at the property and I advised him we were outside the front door and there was no one there ???? I was put on hold several times (I think they were contacting their colleague to make them open the door ?!) and were greeted by Amrit, who was rather kind, and collected our keys. Upon entering the building I was in shock. The entry way looked dark and dingy. The paint on the wall was chipped and the place looked dark and dirty. We were on the first floor during our stay. Walking up the stairs was a health hazard as the walls and steps were so narrow. Bedroom We put the key in the door and almost cried. The place was filthy. There were stains EVERYWHERE. The window was being held open by a block of wood. The bed was broken and was being held up by blocks of wood. The metal frame was jotting out in places and cut us every time we walked past the bed. The floors were dirty. There was a used tissue in the drawers. Cleanliness is clearly a foreign concept to the host. The room is at an angle ?? The wardrobe was not held up straight against the wall and we noticed something under the wardrobe to allow it to stay upright. the tv didn’t work. The fan didn’t work. We couldn’t shut the windows to block out the noise outside because the window was being help open by a block of wood and we were too scared of catching something. Bathrooms and toilets To define these areas as filthy would be too generous. These areas were DIABOLICAL and violated all five senses. There was dirt, stains, mould, and grime everywhere. The shower was covered in some kind of mould and grime and thinking about it makes me want to cry again. I was forced to go to Paddington station to use their faculties and on my return I found a nice couple standing outside the flat waiting for someone to let them in. They also were told to arrive at a certain time to collect keys and no one was there to let them in. I felt it was my duty to warn them of the conditions and I saw their hopeful smiles quickly turn into fearful frowns. I heard a scream a few hours later outside my room and I assume it was them after seeing the state of the building. I didn’t see them after that and I can only assume they decided to find alternative accommodation fit for habitation by human beings. Anyway, I’m too drained from the experience to recall the nightmare any further. The entire experience felt like we were being tortured in one of Jigsaw’s torture games and I was expecting someone to say “I want to play a game” at any moment. 0/infinity I don’t recommend.

If you do not mind the possibility of rats and everything dirty inside the room (except the bedding), it's one of the cheapest accommodations you can find in London. The common bathroom was not so terribly dirty, it was fine. The receptionist was kind. Really do not recommend it.

Summary: unsafe, dirty, smelly, worn down room in much need of tlc in a great location. Be warned, advise not to stay here, spend a bit more on a nicer place. Details: Pros: great location, state of the property and the rooms will make you get outside more. Cons: Unsafe (front door very flimsy and doesn't lock properly, room door held together by cardboard and a nail - see pictures) Dirty (stairs, toilet, shower, floor, room) Smelly (smells musty and unable to open windows) Worn down room - (holes in walls, glass on floor, dirty sink and surfaces, dirty cups in cupboard) Not particularly good value for money!

This is easily the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The single pro is that it's in a good location. The whole building is filthy, it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. There was broken glass on the floor of the room, which I luckily spotted before stepping on it. The bathroom was beyond dirty, and I didn't shower all weekend, as I'd have come out dirtier than when I went in. Jumping in the Thames would be cleaner. The lock on the room door was broken, and botched together with folded cardboard and a nail. The bed was massively uncomfortable, with broken springs and bent slats, it was also filthy. It may seem cheap, but I don't consider £60 a night cheap when the accomodation is so dirty that it's a breach of Health and Safety. The London hotel equivalent of Fyre Festival.

Let’s comment step by step: staff highly recommended because of their kindness and well service; as for the location, no complains about it (Paddington Station is about five minutes walking, and Hyde Park maybe 10/15); and last but not least, comfort, which absolutely could be improved but considering the price you pay for it you can’t complain. The kitchen is very well equipped and it saved us from spending a lot of money on street food.

*DO NOT BOOK A ROOM AT THIS HOTEL!* This hotel is the worst accommodation I have ever experienced by far. The entire experience was incredibly unpleasant. - The building desperately needs investment, which is immediately apparent form the second you walk in. - The building smells dirty and you will not escape the smell. - The walls are paper thin and you can hear noise from the rest of the building and neighbouring buildings. - The windows are single glazed, cracked and don’t close properly and a do not shield the noise from the busy street outside. - There is a very bright street light at the front and the curtains are paper thing (like the walls!) and do not shield the light from the form. - The bathroom is FILTHY. We chose not to shower rather than use the facility and used pub toilets instead. (I cannot stress enough how dirty the bathroom was.) - The wi-if didn’t work as it had been suspended by Talk Talk due to non-payment of bills. - The lock on the bedroom door was broken. - The bed was almost at floor level and very uncomfortable. The duvet was paper thin (like the walls and curtains!). - The smoke alarms in the room had no batteries. - The smoke alarms on the landing was beeping all night long. I woke at intervals of 15 minutes and it felt like torture. *DO NOT BOOK A ROOM AT THIS HOTEL!*
