   Stayed here many times. All the staff are always helpful. The beds are comfortable the showers are powerful. Matt the bar manager was great in providing us with extra plates and milk for the room , sorting out the tv issues and adjusting the room temperature for us. You need to bear in mind it is a VERY OLD building and the floorboards are creaky and loud when people are moving around in rooms above. Do NOT shower with the bathroom door open as the steam sets off the fire alarm which unfortunately one hapless guess managed to do twice in the middle of the night. Only improvements may be a safe baggage store area for early arrivals and / or late departures and possibly an automated system to advise guests when it’s a false fire alarm. Great stay and will use again regardless.

   Gorgeous hotel, beautiful rooms, lovely and very accommodating staff. Everything in the room was to the highest quality and the building is so charming. The pub is also great, open fire and loads of drinks/food options. Perfect location too! It's worth paying a little extra and getting a boutique room, newly refurbished and so nice. We'll be back :)

   We stayed at this hotel for two nights and had a very pleasant experience. The staff, especially the receptionists, were always friendly and helpful, which made our stay feel welcoming from the start. The hotel itself has a bit of wear, which might bother some, but for us, it added character and charm. Our room was tidy, well-prepared, and even had music playing when we entered - a lovely and thoughtful touch that made the experience feel extra special. We tried the breakfast once. It was a continental style, though slightly different from what we usually expect - more sweet options than a mix of savory and sweet. The staff kindly allowed us to see the breakfast beforehand, which was very considerate. There’s also a menu breakfast option, which we appreciated. In the evening, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant, and the food was delicious. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is cozy, and combined with the kind people around, it made for a very enjoyable stay. We’re glad we chose this hotel and would happily recommend it to others looking for a warm, charming place to stay.

   We absolutely loved it - the rooms are nicely decorated, quirky with lovely little touches, like the old-style radio. Our room was huge with a really comfortable bed + snug duvet. There was really good heating as well though, so you won't be cold. Staff were really nice and the location is amazing - slap bang on Clapham Common. There was a squirrel out the window! The pub downstairs does nice food so it's really handy. It's not loud or rowdy though - we heard absolutely no noise. It closes at 11 anyway I think.

   Picked Clapham as we lived there when we were young and were occasional visitors to the Windmill. Definitely exceeded our expectations. Great room, cool atmosphere and you also get to meet the owner ( I think)and his dog every morning. Make sure you spend at least one night at the bar - recommend the roast dinner and the quiz on Sunday which is fun and a good way to chat to the locals. Really recommended - easy to get into the city and is a much better than the hotels in the centre of town. Thanks to all the team

   Beautiful hidden gem in london right on the common. Super dog friendly. The only thing that let this stay down was the breakfast service. The waitresses sat around chatting loudly we had to go and ask them to be served
