Service was appalling from before check in, tried multiple times to contact them as we had arrived early to no avail, once we eventually got checked in they got our room sizes wrong and refused to correct this even after I showed them my booking confirmation provided proof they were wrong. Once we got into the rooms we were horrified by the conditions, shower basin filthy full of pubes, other people’s toiletries left in the bathroom, toilet dirty, window that hadn’t been cleaned in years you could barely see out, net curtains that should be white but so dirty they looked brown, bedding was old and no very nice, dirty fridge sat on a beside cabinet turned on it’s side. We left without a refund and booked else where. I know this place is cheap but even cheap can bare standards don’t even get me started in the smell or how rude the staff were

Good location close to Finsbury Park & subway stations , rooms are basic but ok for one night. Room had bed Bugs, was bitten so much from staying here. Please be aware of this

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place was so bad I feel obligated to warn others. First off, there was no continental breakfast, despite it being advertised. That was just the beginning. The walls were only half painted, like someone gave up midway through a DIY job. Under the sink, the cupboard was literally rotting, and everything about the room screamed neglect. A light fixture on the wall was broken and hanging loose, which felt like a serious safety hazard. The curtains were also broken, barely hanging on, and did nothing to block out the light or provide privacy. Even worse, there was masking tape still around the plug sockets—clearly unfinished and unprofessional. The whole room was dirty and smelled of damp, making it incredibly unpleasant to stay in. I’ve stayed in budget accommodations before, but this was on another level of bad. Would absolutely avoid at all cost!

Very basic room. We had to ask twice for a kettle for the room even though they had provided tea/coffee etc. Due to it being above a pub you are unable to check in until the pub opens. In a great location for Finsbury Park

This hotel is absolutely awful. I booked because we were attending a gig at Finsbury Park. Do not be fooled by the photos. I’ve stayed in better hostels. It’s old, tired, in desperate need of updating, extremely overpriced and you can not even get into the building before 1pm which is not stipulated on their webpage. Our room had the boiler in it which is illegal. The room was dingy and dirty. The beds were dreadful with little more than a sheet for a cover. Quite possibly the worst place ever to stay. Total waste of money. It’s so bad, I checked if there was anywhere else to stay, it due to the gig in the park everywhere local was packed. You’d be better off in a tent in the park this place is that bad. Absolute hovel.

Good value for money. Perfect hotel for a two/three day trip to London. 5 min walk to tube stop. Thanks to Raj for his kindness and help.

Please try to avoid this hotel as much as possible. It's not clean. Hot water takes a long time to run in the shower. It's needs a lot of repair. Broken tap in the toilet. The bedroom was cold and the pillow was very thin. It's very dusty and not clean. This place needs renovation work done urgently and it is has electrical hasards.

My expectations were pretty low from the reviews but I was really pleasantly surprised. Room was small but clean, check in was easy and getting in and out is easy enough when the pub is closed (they give you a key for the back gate and seperate back door). Everything you could need can be got within a very short walk. My room was quiet and I didn't get any traffic noise but that would very much depend on which room you get and which side of the building it is on. Only knocked a star off the room because there was no tea or coffee, but other than that I would highly recommend for the price. Would stay again.
