   The welcome was warm and friendly and the food was excellent. I was disappointed with the decor which sounds bizarre I know but the walls are baby blue with awful prints on the wall. It needs a warmer colour, wood burning stove and some good photos of old Otley or the local area, along with modern chairs and tables to match. The pub felt cold with the decor ( and was on the chilly side though I was in a t shirt) and it just didn't match the outside or location. Just my view point.

   Lovely pub that overlooks the countryside towards Otley. Welcoming staff & with good service. The food is more of a homemade style & portions were generous. The burgers tended to be on the dry side & salty tasting.

   We are so happy the chevin has reopened, food and staff are lovely. Obviously just in the process of renovating and bringing the old girl back to life!

   Great location and really lovely friendly staff. We ordered a couple of burgers and although they were nice at £22 they were ridiculously overpriced and not worth the money. Chips were frozen and burgers weren't homemade. We actually commented to each other how empty it was for a Sunday lunchtime. We had gone there as after a walk round the Chevin couldn't get a table at they were so busy. Not surprising when they charge £13.50 for a huge burger with homemade fries. Even the Hilton in Leeds is cheaper. Definitely won't be back to eat. Though would pop in for just a drink. Just Hooe by putting the prices up so high they don't end up going out of business, as as I t would be a shame as in general its a nice little pub

   Place was warm and friendly. Menu was varied and the food was really lovely. Would have got 5 stars except my roast potatoes were a bit hard and it took a while to come.

   Really disappointed with our visit today. Went for Sunday lunch to be told there was only a choice of beef. When the food arrived, it was sliced beef that appeared to have been warmed up rather than slices off a joint. The roasts were almost cold when they came and the Yorkshire puddings were burnt. Considering the price of the food, I would have expected better. On the upside, the sticky toffee pudding was lovely.

   Lovely setting nice food but overpriced £22 for steak pie it was good but had as good for half the price so unless win lotto won't be back!

   Overlooking Otley and neighbouring villages in the valley below The Chevin is the perfect place for a meal out! Delicious home cooked food is served. I would recommend the Sunday Lunch Menu & the Early Bird Menu. Make sure you book in advance!
