Had a spa day here which was brilliant. The manager at the spa was so helpful seeing to our every need and making sure we were happy with all our treatment. She was great. The therapists doing the treatments were lovely, really professional and friendly. We had a processor afternoon tea. They accommodated my gluten free friend and my fussy eating professionally. The sandwiches scones and cakes and coffee were 1st class. Thanks for a wonderful day

We stayed one night 19 December for a Christmas event, room was spacious, but heating did not work used a heater, lighting could be better, shower was over the bath and had good power. The restaurant for breakfast was also cold, food ok lots of choice but hot food was only just warm! The receptionists were all friendly and said that they are aware of the heating issues and they are looking into it.

The location is awkward if you are coming with public transport as the bus from the station to the hotel runs every 1-1.5 hours. On a positive note the customer service was impeccable. Receptionist very attentive and friendly, I was offered a complimentary mince pie and mulled one and a ticket to get a free drink. The rooms are gorgeous, housekeeping was very hardworking and fast. I do wish there was a chicken burger from the menu, the fishfinger wrap was nice and probably the only meal that is cost effective. They should have more whole meals that have a main and a side. the food wasn’t bad. Nice atmosphere and very calming. I booked three nights for £138 very good price I cannot complain. (I checked in on a Sunday). Oh yes and the Wi-Fi was sensational no problems with the connection at all. I quite happpily connected my tablet and phone at the same time .

Our experience at Mercure Dartford Brands Hatch Hotel and Spa was amazing! Our room was of their new ones which was beautifully made, it had all the essentials you would require for your stay, and our beds were very comfortable. My husband, daughter and I had booked in for the Ishga massages at their spa and the masseurs were truly skilled. My masseur, Joy, was great and asked what type of pressure I liked and she was very talented. I was completely relaxed and refreshed at the end of it. My family gave me good feedback about the other 2 girls as well, I'm sorry I don't remember your names, I wanted to say thank you! Will definitely be back!

Staff interaction was friendly and welcoming. Lovely reception area, comfy seating and nice decor. Racing bar was well stocked and again, lady serving in the bar was lovely and helpful. Restaurant was a bit dated and menu was limited, which isn’t always a bad thing, but the Indian offerings (which I was looking forward to!) were disappointing. The naan was similar to something you’d buy from Asda and the mains were lacklustre. My partner had the fillet steak, which was cooked beautifully, but the chips were undercooked. Was looking forward to a comfy nights sleep, but the bed was terribly uncomfortable and we both had a couple of bad night’s sleep. Upon opening the curtains in our room, we were treated to a view of a flat roof and come air conditioning units - it can’t be helped but it just lacked character. Stopped by the spa, the ladies in there were so polite and helpful. Enjoyed using the gym but the machines were a bit outdated, needed a good clean and the weights for the bench looked like they'd been chewed on! As a hotel, it’s good for an overnighter for business or when enjoying brands hatch, but less so for a comfy romantic getaway.

Visited for a spa day with afternoon tea and was very disappointed. The booking was not cheap (£260 for two) but the experience was not worth it. The treatment rooms are very unloved and in desperate need of at least a lick of paint. With the gym opposite, treatments are disturbed with the noise of the machines/people working out. The relaxation room is anything but - think more dentist waiting room. The afternoon tea was laughable. It took place in the hotel lobby, right next to the welcome desk. It took 30 minutes to be brought out, and then another 5 minutes for cutlery and plates. The employee serving us looked like he would rather be anywhere else than there, and made no effort to hide it. Treatments weren't carried out as stated, with bits missed off. The highlight was the pool and spa pool, whish are reasonable. The locker room is used by everyone, and is in need of a good clean.

The hotel was easy enough to find and on approach looked clean and welcoming. Lovely bright foyer. Nice touch of a box of smarties when checking in and also the voucher for a free snack with a glass of wine or a bottle of beer, soft drink options could have been included though. The room itself was really quite big and much larger than needed, quite bright and looked down over the courtyard. You had to pay £10 for parking which was really odd as other than the race track, there isn't anything else around it that would necessitate a charge. The rooms itself could do with a thorough clean, the windowsill was grimey and dusty, bathroom ceiling could do with a clean as could the floor under the sink. The sink was high which made it hard for me (5'2") to use the mirror to do my make up. There were what looked like urine stains on the the toilet seat. The room was cold though thankfully there were 3 plug in heaters in the wardrobe. No menus in the room which was annoying.

The hotel itself is pleasant enough, clean rooms and good facilities. The reason for this 2* review is probably specific to my experience. The air-conditioning unit was defective and only produced cold air which isn't ideal in mid January but I was provided with 2 electric heaters. I also had no hot water in the morning so my shower was a little "Bracing" to say the least. When I bought this to the attention of the reception staff, they couldn't care less. I won't be staying there again, at the best part of £100 per night, it's just not good enough.

We just stayed here it’s not too busy at the moment which is great and we got a lovely price for what’s here. Lovely food, room and spa. There’s a lot to explore definitely not a boring hotel. Room was clean and had a comfy bed compared to some other hotels also has a piano in the reception too.

Visited the fitness centre for a spa day. Staff were brilliant, really looked after us. Had a bite to eat for lunch in the bar area and the manager (I assumed) really was great, very accommodating and friendly Would give 5 stars but the swimming pool area etc looks a little tired and I think could do with some maintenance here and there. Despite that I would definitely return.
