A great base for us to visit family locally. The staff were fantastic. The evening meal menu was basic, but filling. The room was good. Personally it could have done with an extra pillow on wach bed. Considering the location road noise was very minimal.

I stayed here this Saturday night while visiting my son a short distance away. I can honestly say everything was perfect. Rooms are warm beds are super comfy and with a choice of pillows.the staff here are more than helpful. As a solo traveller it was more than perfect. Will be the only hotel I'll use when I'm here in the next month. Thanks guys

I stayed here when I visited my son in Basildon. Everything was perfect and would stay here again without a doubt. The staff are more than helpful and as a solo female traveller I felt more than safe. Comfortable beds with a choice of pillows. Would recommend everytime. Thanks to everyone.

Few months ago I stayed at this hotel and my experience here was honestly amazing. Room was nice and comfortable staff at the reception were very polite and helpful I’d definitely stay again in the future in this hotel.

The room was clean and comfortable. However, they have rooms that are on long leases. Next to my room had a revolving front door with people coming and going all day and night. Glad I had ear plugs. When the door was open, the strong waft of green came flooding out. It was clear they were dealing and selling drugs there. With the place surrounded by other young families with children, was not a good look. Also, you have to watch your step wherever you walk. Dinner was quickly decided on another venue after seeing the Chef have a smoke then prepare food without washing hands. This is purely what I noticed. The lady at reception was very nonchalant after raising the copious amount of weed being consumed. God forbid if someone suffered from Asthma or similar.

Shocked how this is classed as a ‘hotel’. Room smelt like mould, The carpet was soaked put my foot into a puddle when getting out end of the bed???? Noise from the road felt like i was sleeping on the motorway. Ended up packing our bags after an hour and staying else where. Honestly shocked how this place exists, Wouldn’t pay me to stay here.

Booked and spent two nights here with my dog. Nicola and the rest of the staff were very friendly the rooms are clean and comfortable. Honestly I don't know what some people expect leaving poor reviews, totally unfair. Highly recommended.

No heating and no hot water in the room. Told there was a shower to use the other side of the hotel. One shower for the whole premises. I was told if I didn’t like it, I could leave and get a refund. After driving for over 100 miles and for a two night stay, I left. Now awaiting the refund. The staff were not very helpful.

the rooms are quaint and nice but you don't get a lot of service and the location isn't great best bit about it is how close it is to asda. For the price of the room it honestly wasn't bad at all

The room we was given was right on top of the a127 so heard every car going past all night long so had broken sleep. There was a light right outside the window which also kept us awake as the curtains didn’t reach to the end of the frames so light was coming through. The sheets had small stains on them and there was cat hairs in the bath and sink in the wash room. The room itself was very dated and needed a better clean as there was cobwebs. There was extra pillows in the wardrobe in a very dirty sticky plastic zip up bag which I didn’t want to touch but the pillows on the bed were to flat to sleep on. Overall we paid £100 for one nights stay and was very disappointed and definitely not worth that price in our opinion.
