We called for a meal and to try the different meats ,llama, zebra, wild boar , but none of these are available now and haven’t been for 2 years which was disappointing but on the plus side the beef steaks on hot stone were so good cooked to your liking first time doing this and not the last here

Dog friendly pub. We sat outside the front on lower terrace with views across the road to fields.had Sunday lunch which was really nice. Choice of beef, pork and turkey £15.95 or the trio for £18.95.the staff were amazing very tentative. The top of the steps a a little dangerous as tiles missing as as it’s the first thing that greats you it does not give you a good feeling.

First time here, and the only thing we were disappointed about was that they have taken their exotic food off the menu despite still being advertised on the website. There were only 2 members of staff, and they were rushed off their feet, but still did a fantastic job. The place was clean/tidy and well kept, and the food was amazing and a reasonable price too. Would definitely come here again.

Went recently here with a group of us for a couples night out. All of our meals were lovely, arrived in good time and great portions. I had the Rump steak on the hot slab so was cooking as it arrives to the table. It was hot and sizzling and nice to be able to manage your food, bonus fry the tomatoes from the salad (lovely Salad and dressing) on here at the same time!... only tip I'd do on a return visit was maybe ask for a side plate as the meat continually cooks. So to keep it Medium rare you need to be able to keep it of the slab at times. Easily go to again if in the area.

Went for Sunday dinner, 3 mixed meat and all the trimmings...wow only issue was I could not eat it all. Very nice and will be going again.

Ordered a 10oz steak. Asked for it medium rare. Waitress advised it comes on a sizzling plate. When the meal came I thought what a brilliant idea, steak came out raw and you cook it yourself. Down side to this was, you get covered in fat from the steak. This needs a rethink. May I make a suggestion: 1: portable table for the steak to cook, so that you don't get covered in steak fat, your clothes, skin and table are covered in the stuff. 2: chips and salad on a separate plate from the sizzling steak. So when the steak is cooked to your liking you have somewhere to put it.

What a lovely place. My mother in law stayed at the Lodge which was excellent. We went into the Olive for drinks both nights which was excellent. Staff are fantastic. Highly recommended. We will return to eat there because the menu looks really interesting.

Absolutely fantastic meal. 4 people, 1 had steak 2 had zebra and one had fish and chips. The meals are a good portion size. Deserts are amazing. Staff friendly and happy to have a laugh. Brilliant.
