This place used to be a great place for lunch. Now they are serving £19 burgers that I haven't seen since school dinners (thin piece of frozen gristle). Pizzas no better. Embarrassing stuff sadly, no wonder the place was empty.

Me and my partner stayed here for a weekend away and it was lovely! The grounds are BEAUTIFUL and our room was really quirky and vintage feeling. Cant fault it at all!

The food at Langton’s Brasserie was fantastic – I had the Sunday roast pork and honey-roasted parsnip soup, and both were easily 10/10. Service was a bit slow considering there were only 6-7 tables in total. Plates weren’t cleared for a while after I finished, and the water took longer than expected to arrive. The room had nice music playing and was well-decorated, but it was so quiet that conversations felt awkward. For two mains and a starter, it came to £53, including a 7.5% service charge. The menu images on Google are outdated – the current 2-course Sunday menu is £29.95. Most diners were dressed formally, so I felt a little out of place in casual clothes. Great food overall, but service and atmosphere could improve. Giving it 4 stars.

Driven past The Pavilion for years and thought many times about what Sunday lunch would be like. Well, it's fantastic on all 4 counts; quality, quantity, price and service. All in great surroundings. Hard to beat.

Delicious Sunday lunch, good value and attentive service. Can't understand why the restaurant isn't heaving.

We arrived on a stormy evening on Sunday 6 February, reception were genuinely pleased to see us, booked for 7pm and straight to a table. The staff were friendly and very helpful on menu choices, the black pudding in mash was soo good, great selection of wine, the panacotta with rhubarb topping with oat biscuit was delicious, would we dine there again, you bet, we would!

Nice food in a good restaurant in a lovely hotel. John Barry's home so music-themed. No complaints, except maybe more onion in the gravy for the Yorkshire Pudding starter. Good service. All in good.

We arrived at 9:10pm and they closed 10:00 pm, most of the tables were empty but the waiter told us that if we hadn’t booked we couldn’t have dinner, in a bad mood. I understand he probably didn’t want to attend more people but it was opened and with free tables. I can’t provide an opinion about food but with this service is clear, I will not try again.
