My son had his pizza party here and I couldn’t recommend it enough! Jess and her team were attentive and helpful throughout. They couldn’t do enough for us and it was incredibly reasonably priced. Chef Chantelle was great with the kids, professional and age appropriate giving them helpful tips and encouragement throughout. There was ample space set up, we weren’t rushed and the whole thing was very personable. They all thoroughly enjoyed their time. Thank you so much Jess & Chantelle for making our party so special.

My husband and I recently went for an afternoon meal, and the entire experience could best be described as a tragic comedy—except nobody was laughing. We walked into an empty bar area with no staff in sight. Not a soul. It was like wandering into a restaurant-themed escape room. After standing there for about five minutes, I had to go hunting for someone to serve us. Eventually a staff member emerged, looking as surprised to see us as we were to see them, and honestly we should have taken that as our cue to leave. We ordered drinks and two carveries, then stood waiting again. At this point we were practically part of the décor. The food, however, was the real punchline. The Yorkshire pudding was so stale I could have used it as building material. My knife certainly couldn’t cut it—my fingers barely managed the job. The beef was mostly gristle and had the texture of a car tyre. The turkey was tolerable, and the gammon had a weird chemical tang I still can’t place—but definitely not something found in any cookbook. The vegetables… well. If flavour had been involved at any stage, it had long since left the premises. The carrots were tasteless, the sprouts bitter, and the carrot/swede mash was a beige mystery with an aftertaste I’d rather forget. The roasties had been cooked so long they’d disintegrated into thin air—quite impressive, honestly. The peas were edible, which at this point felt like a small victory. The cauliflower cheese tasted like someone had merely shown the cauliflower a block of cheese and hoped for the best. The stuffing had the bounce of a rubber dog toy. The gravy was the best thing on the plate, although calling it gravy is generous. It was more like seasoned water. All in all, it was a meal we won’t forget—but absolutely for the wrong reasons. And to top it off, they have the nerve to charge £58 per head for Christmas. Based on our experience, the only thing festive about that is the joke.

Absolutely shocking, I had a reservation booked for 9/11/2025 for a carvery booked for 2:30pm so we drove the 30 minutes there to see it was closed with all the lights off! Turns our there had been a burst water pipe so had to close , but instead of letting any customers know they just let everyone keep turning up and having to drive away! Couldn't even get hold of them by phone, Absolutely shocking and this is meant to be a well known pub chain well you've lost my custom thats for sure

Hadn't booked but had no trouble getting a table. Place was closing early due to new winter menu being launched. We had pizzas - freshly cooked to order. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food.

Nice big carpark. Walked in picked a table. It was clean and not sticky. The place looked fresh and cared for. Went up to the bar to order drinks and food. Really nice lady behind the bar and was very helpful. Took the drinks back and didn't have to wait to long and the food arrived. The food was OK and a good price. Good flavours and quality was OK. The servers were polite and when people left were quick to clean the tables and did a thorough job. So all in all a nice pop in and meal. Didn't have the carvery but it did look a bit messy around the serving area. Could do with a wipe down a bit more often. That would be the only thing I think could be improved. Will definitely go again when passing.

On arrival the pub was very busy. Despite this the lady at the front desk made every effort to find us a table. We had the carvery, a soft drink and a coffee. This was ordered at the bar and I was served by a guy who is possibly the friendliest barman I've ever met. Clearly enjoyed his job and the environment he worked in. The food was delicious and the man serving was again super friendly and charismatic. This seemed to be the pattern for our whole meal. Friendly staff. Great food, possibly the best carvery we have ever had. Fair prices. We will be back.

Visited a couple of times recently with friends and family. Both meals were lovely and the staff were friendly and polite, especially the young man who works behind the bar who is a credit to the company, nothing was too much trouble. Prices for food and drink very reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

Had Christmas Dinner with the family, 8 of us in total & we all said we would definitely recommend this place, from the minute we arrived the staff were great, very helpful & very organized. They even accommodated dietary requirements for 2 of us with no problems. Hats off to all the staff the service & the food was excellent. Can't wait to do it again.

Visited here with my family we had some burgers and carvery the service was really slow despite not being very busy. The carvery food was very good . The chicken burgers also good. The beef burgers not so good very thin and dry around the edges . Would definitely go here for a carvery again
