My friend and I were really pleased with our overall experience at Restup. The location was good -- there is a bus stop right next to the hostel; the hostel overall, as well as the room we stayed in, was very clean as well. The nightly prices were very reasonable. The service was also excellent. Jordan and Tony were especially kind and helpful. I would definitely come back to stay at Restup again.

I was initially a bit worried about my stay from other reviews that i read as an 18 year old woman but it was honestly pretty good. The security was good and there was always kind staff at the register. I was in a 6 bed female dorm which had a bit of a funky smell but was otherwise hygienic and the other people i met were really nice. It was also warm in the room- I came in December- and comfortable. The top bunk was kinda hard to get up, especially drunk, and i kept hitting my head because the ceiling was so close to it, but you get what you pay for. the location was really good, super close to transport and westminster so it was really easy to navigate and get around. I would stay here again.

The location is great and, the atmosphere is amazing and the interior design is great, they also offer free breakfast that is kinda meh but who gives you free food. They rent plenty of stuff you might need. We stayed in a twin/double room for there days and the price was pretty high for a hostel tbh, and the room we got didnt really match that. One thing is that its one of the smallest rooms ive seen, which really is okay, but the room has two beds and a window, thats literally it. The sheets are clean which is the most important thing but I would have appreciated a shelf or som thing, cause all my belongings have to be on the floor now. There is no lift and they have 5 floors, overall its pretty decent.

This was the most disgusting hostel Iβve ever stayed at, and Iβve stayed at hostels all over the world. Where do I even start? There were boogers all over the wall next to my bed. The floors in our room were never cleaned. How do I know this? Someone spilled nuts all over the ground on my first day and I just left today, three days later, and theyβre still there. The bathrooms are absolutely foul. They stink, the showers smell horrendous and the toilets are only cleaned once per day (two toilets per floor). You can imagine how disgusting they get. Zero toilet paper by the end of the day but nothing gets done about it. No outlets in the bathrooms so good luck shaving, straightening hair or blow drying your hair. The only good thing about this place is the staff. They were super friendly and you could tell they would get embarrassed when a guest would complain about something. Iβve gone to another hostel here in London and itβs the same price and much cleaner, much better facilities and way better atmosphere. Get it together restup.

I stayed at RestUp London Hostel with a group of 18 middle school students, aged 16. For a short school trip lasting a couple of days, it's a perfect place: good basic breakfast included in the price (you get toast bread, butter, ham, cheese, cottage cheese, milk and cereal, tea, coffee, orange juice or water), it's a buffet so you eat as much as you like - no one is hungry when leaving the hostel to go sightseeing London. The rooms are a bit crampy though thougj and the bathrooms are located in the common areas in the corridor, they are clean too. The rooms were also cleaned every day, the rubbish was taken out so it's nice. Rest Up hostel is located just 4 underground station from Westminster or 4-5 stations from the National Gallery or a 30-min walk from the Tower Bridge so nobody complained The hostel inside has a nice interior and nice atmosphere, the reception guys are very helpful, there is a storage room where you can leave your group's luggage if you arrive before the check-in time and you want to go sightseeing. The only complaint would be about the size of the rooms and the lack of furniture in the rooms, not even a mini-table or stool or hooks on the wall where you could put or hang your clothing when you go to bed. All in all, it's worth the stay and money. I was very hesitant having read all those reviews as I travelled with 18 teenagers but today I don't regret. Next time I'll consider staying at Rest Up, too. -- Adam

mhmm the location was great but the rooms were too small. The cleanliness was ok. However, it was not even cleaned. Really ok was the foyer and guest lounges. The area where the hostel is located is rather a very poor territory. Near, there are some 99 pence supermarkets. And cheap snack shops. On the whole, more of a young people hostel. The service is good and friendly, and open 24 hours. Unfortunately, the shower head was broken and dripping constantly.

Quite a nice place to stay for 2 nights. Only issue was the bathroom in the room was small so if someone had a shower that meant water would get literally everywhere and there weren't any free towels to clean it up. There were enough plug sockets but they were all on the lower bunks and not the top. Staff members were nice.

The hostel was a good price and the location was perfect (you can walk into central London in about 20 mins). The dorm rooms were fine too. The TV room was quite impressive as a chill out spot - very big comfy sofas. The toilets and showers were also fine (tho the toilet paper dispenser did seem to get stuck quite a bit). They also had an outdoor area but I was there during the winter so didn't use it. The building is quite grand and there are info boards for trips and excursions. The check in goes to quite late as well so no need to worry if your transport to London is delayed. The negatives were that there is no self catering whatsoever - I've never been to a hostel that didn't even have a kettle to make your own tea/coffee or microwave. They do have a cafe, but backpacking in hostels (in my opinion) should have some form of self catering facility for the budget traveller. Not necessarily a negative/good, but things to note. The hostel takes in families and school groups so be aware if you'd rather avoid that. Also, its a dry hostel, so no alcohol. Overall, decent price and great location but would be 5 stars if they stick a kettle and/or microwave somewhere.

I had a fairly good stay at Restup, its in a good location near Elephant & Castle station. The hostel is absolutely huge and very reasonably priced with all the facilities you really need. I would say the locker situation is extremely pricey as I think you pay by the day so I ended up keeping everything in my room. Apart from that its a decent stay and staff were great!
