Went in at the weekend for a cocktail with some friends visiting the city and this was by far the worst bar experience I’ve ever had. We ordered 3 espresso martinis (£10 each I may add) and this is genuinely what we were served. It was absolutely vile, had bits in it and resembled nothing like an espresso martini. The only thing that could’ve made this worse is if he spat in our drinks in front of us. The bar tender was beyond rude and literally sighed and put his face in his hands when I ordered. The music was non stop 00’s pop, at a volume so indescribably loud I went home with ringing in my ears and a sore throat from having to shout to speak to the person sat right next to me. Couldn’t even have a conversation with the people at our table as we were all completely deafened. Worst bar I’ve ever experienced in over 10 years living in York.

We didn’t do food but LOVED the cocktails- especially the price! Day cocktails- £4:50!!! We had to have some of those! Gin fizzle and bramble were definitely delicious! We also liked the WooHoo!! Try them for yourselves!

A gorgeous and very well priced coffee. Such a better atmosphere, price, and coffee than the chains. Friendly staff who were very kind and open to my friend with learning disabilities, which always leaves a good impression.

What a lovely, friendly place. Dog friendly, (genuinely!) and great food. Able to sit out in the afternoon sun, watching the world go by.

Went to the Drawing Room for lunch today. They are serving a new menu and I have to say what a lovely lunch we had. The ham in my ciabatta was from the local butcher's and really tasty. The brie in the bacon and brie was flavoursome and beautifully runny and the vegeburger was well cooked and again delicious, served with proper chips. Good, friendly service. We will be back.

Popped in here for a quick breakfast with my wife, I was served by the excellent Holly. I had a smoked back bacon sandwich with sausage and tomato. Quality ingredients, and you certainly pay for what you get. My wife had egg, guacamole and mushroom on toast, I had a cheeky pint of IPA, lovely hand pulled beer. Service and food were 10/10. Would definitely go again.

The Drawing Board Cafe/Bar was included in our epic York pub crawl and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was great. Plenty of people enjoying themselves. The bar staff were friendly and dedicated to their craft. Would have liked to try the food but alas, a pub crawl this was!

Honestly you can't go wrong woth drawing board for drinks. The cocktails have a £5 and £10 menu, so very wl priced for cocktails. They also have speciality shots, with the snickers shot being the best, and a must try for anyone. The knly downside is that they do not always have salt for the snickers shot which does ruin the flavour. The staff are very nice and quick tk serve and make drinks. Nice interior and exterior seating. Definitely my go to bar for drinks, and would recommend to anyone.

First place we went for food in York and it did not disappoint. Full English was incredible and I loved the fresh pancakes. Good value for money and friendly staff.
