Just awful! They shaved all my pups fur off when we asked for it to be kept long and didn't give us a reason for doing it. Fur was also left patchy in places, looks like it was done by someone with little to no experience. Certainly not worth the eye watering £90 they charged us!
Avoid at all costs! Never again will I visit the groom room. When we dropped our show cocker spaniel off for her groom we asked that she be kept on the longer side. We also had discussions about this after her last wash appointment and they agreed they would cut her fur to half the length at her next full groom. However, when we went to pick her up after her groom all her lovely fur had been completely shaved off, to the point where we've had to buy her a jumper because she was shivering. We weren't even offered an explanation as to why our dog is now bald. I know she wasn't matted because we'd spent hours over the days before her groom brushing her with a fine comb to ensure she wasn't matted. They have completely ignored our request and the breed standards. I can't even say they've done a good job of shaving her as she has a line across the top of her neck and jagged razor marks down her back. It's embarrassing, I'm embarrassed for my dog. We were also charged more than we were quoted. It's only when I looked at the receipt afterwards that I noticed they'd added charges on for fancy shampoo we didn't request nor were we told about, on top of an already extortionate groom. I just wished I'd read the reviews before taking her. I'm now left with a very bald, cold and unsettled dog. Here's hoping her fur grows back and quick!
Disappointing Dog Grooming Experience. I recently took my beloved Maltipoo to The Groom Room in Princess Alice Park for a grooming session, hoping to maintain his adorable appearance. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon picking up my dog, I immediately noticed that the fur behind his paws had not been properly trimmed. This oversight was disappointing and indicated a lack of attention to detail by the grooming staff. Additionally, while my Maltipoo had beautiful hair on his head prior to the grooming session, it was evident that it had been haphazardly hacked into, leaving an uneven and unattractive appearance. Overall, I strongly advise pet owners to stay clear of The Groom Room. The subpar service and lack of attention to detail are concerning, and I would not trust them with the grooming needs of my beloved pet again.
Steer clear! Our cockapoo was groomed here just before Xmas. We were charged a staggering £59 for the service as apparently he was 'matted' which he definitely wasn't. His nails were still really long when we collected him and the poor thing looked like he had been scalped. I complained to the store and asked for some form of apology. I was basically told it was the price and to get lost. No compassion at all. Will go elsewhere in future. Really wish I'd read all of these bad reviews before I booked him in! Never again!
My dog Jeff was groomed today. He was very matted and needed a lot of attention. They knew exactly what to do and groomed him to a very high standard. He was ready for collection on time and they talked me through exactly what they did and gave me tips on how to take better care of his coat. I highly recommend the groom room at the Sutton Coldfield branch.
avoid this place from afar ... I do not recommend it. I booked an appointment 3 weeks earlier. we arrived on time. the lady said that they sent us a voice message that the visit was cancelled. I checked and I didn't get anything .. she said she didn't see a problem because the deposit was not paid anyway ... she didn't even propose a different date .. I do not recommend it, I will never use this place again ...
First time using the groom room last week for my dog. Honestly gobsmacked at what they had not done? Her nails had been clipped ever so slightly. I could do with taking her for further nail trimming. Her eyes still had gunk under them, her ears haven’t been properly cleaned and she didn’t look like she’d been washed if I’m honest. She was in and out within 25 minutes. After paying for a full groom. Partner bought dog home and would never justify £35 on this ‘service’ again. I’ll definitely go elsewhere.
