Acknowledging that you're struggling is hard. Sharing your troubles with somebody else is even harder. Opening the painful parts of your personal self up, and offering them out for evaluation takes courage. None of which I would have ever tried to do alone, nor would I have chosen to do with just anybody. Paula enabled me to do all of these things, and provided an all important place I could feel safe. Safe enough to break down complicated walls, and slowly begin slotting pieces back together to build a brighter future. Her knowledge, insight and understanding has taught me that light can be found in the darkest of places. To be able to share fragile thoughts, experiences, and emotions in the absence of judgement has been the most enlightening aspect of my journey. With Paula's help, I am healing. It's messy, it's complex, it's painful - but that's ok, because I'm not alone. Thank you.
