Only one photo printing machine working, which takes an age to actually operate. Half an hour waiting to use it so far tonight.
Decent shop for medicines, deodorants, toothpastes, travel stuff etc and do some food too. But, could not see any boots anywhere. Luckily saw TK Maxx as I left and picked up some beautiful size 10 leather knee high boots. Will come back, but not for footwear.
Have used boots for some time for my pharmacy prescriptions. They used to be very reliable. Now definitely not so. The text service never works and they very rarely ever answer the phone. I invariably end up having to attend in person to chase my prescription, it's never ready even though they've had the prescription for a week
Had a recent opticians appointment at Boots , The Springs Leeds. The optician was punctual , efficient and very pleasant. The young man Owen who helped me choose my new glasses was knowledgeable, helpful and informed me of all my choices regarding lenses ,styles and other options. I can thoroughly recommend the optician service at this store.
Called in this evening to check out the aftershaves/perfumes as we were wondering how certain ones smelled to potentially buy to take away to florida with us .boots actually have better deals than duty free on most of the top end scents we learnt off the lovely lady called Ann who works this section on a weekend..can I just say she is a credit to boots and I Hope somebody passes this on to her she was brilliant..took the time to chat to us about the different scents and strengths etc.she definitely knows her stuff and was not pushy at all.she also gave us a couple of free sample bottles to take away with us and as it happens this was a great move by her as we will be returning to buy larger versions of the samples they smell great.we will definitely now only go to this boots and buy our perfumes and aftershaves from Ann's department..lovely lady and a great shopping experience
Omg today 16th February 2023 i needed to call my Boots Chemist at the Springs in Colton, 32 phone calls I made today from 12.00pm and it it's now 16.11pm to try and talk to someone in the Chemist team no one picked up so I tried 3 other departments and still no one picked up my call. In desperate need of antibiotics, they were sent over electronically from my GP.. I usually ring before I collect as its pointless going up if my prescription is not ready ... So Frustrating to say the very least.... And no I did not manage to get through to anyone..
The pharmacy is hopeless. Every time I pick up prescriptions which have been on order in some cases for a full working week there are delays, items are out of stock routinely, you have to wait an age for them to find items and get the pharmacist to check them often with long queues. The only qualified pharmacist is never available to check items which compounds the waiting time. Nobody seems to know what they are doing. Dreadful.
My mum collected a prescription for me as I had problems trying to get the daily medication in the brand that I have been advised by a specialist to get. After trying several pharmacies my mum said she would try this one as I am busy through the week working and can’t visit every pharmacy to try to get the brand I need and she came home saying she had got the prescription. I open it to find that only one of the dosages has been issued in the correct brand and the second one in a complete different brand. It had been written on in capital letters on the prescription that it’s needs to be TEVA brand, what part of this do they not understand? Could have told my mum they didn’t have it and I could then have tried elsewhere!! Clearly more bothered about profits then a customers medical needs!

Absolutely shocking customer service at The Springs, staff unable to help, really new and didn’t know where anything was or what do do with customer queries. Then I found out I could have put a web order in through store instead of fighting with a shockingly poor website, causing untold stress. In the end I went to my smaller more local Boots where the staff were friendly and helpful.
