I am writing this review to express my disappointment with the service I received this afternoon. I contacted Westwood to see whether it would be possible to obtain a repeat of the eye drops previously prescribed to my cat earlier this year, as she was presenting with the exact same symptoms of conjunctivitis. I made it clear that she does not travel well and that a visit would cause her considerable stress, so I was hoping for a solution that would avoid unnecessary distress. Despite explaining the situation, I was informed that a consultation was necessary in order to issue the same eye drops. While I accepted this requirement, I was charged £111 to confirm what I had already described over the phone, that my cat has conjunctivitis and needs the same medication as before. To add to the frustration, I have since found the identical eye drops available online without a prescription, and at a significantly lower cost, nearly £35 less than what I was charged by Westwood. This experience shows little regard for the welfare of my cat, who is now highly distressed and unwell after a stressful journey that could have been avoided. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and consider whether your current protocols truly support the best interests of the animals in your care.
What a lovely little vets practice. I recently swapped to Westwood after moving away from my previous area where I had used the same vet for ever. This lovely vet couldn’t have been more welcoming. They did a full assessment on my little old dog with no feeling of being rushed, and everything was explained. I am so glad I have made the move to Westwood
Unfortunately my puppy had swallowed some batteries but Westwood Vets were extremely attentive and saw to him straight away. They kept us updated with the process including treatments and the costs. We weren’t worried about him as we knew he was in safe hands. Thank you so much for your help and for saving his life. You’re a great team! Recommended highly by us!

Westwood vets Boston Spa are amazing! Staff always so friendly and have your pets interests at heart. Vets are just wonderful with my jack Russell and always sort any problems with amazing care and expert knowledge. Saw Freya today and she was fantastic :) Reception staff member also fantastic - so friendly and welcoming:) I’m always blown away by the great service and never disappointed. Love this place!

Lovely staff. Always get an appointment if you need it. The vets are very empathetic with both the animals and there owners. Warm clean waiting room. Can fully recommend the pet club for dogs and cats. They also look after hedgehogs for me as a rescuer.
