   We (family of 3) stayed in the Derwent Mail for 2 nights. We had an issue before coming and the Mary and Graham were so kind and accommodating of a problem that had come up our end. Our stay was absolutely lovely. Unique accommodation in a beautiful setting, all the amenities we needed for our stay. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept wonderfully. Our daughter was unwell during our visit and our hosts were again so responsive and helpful. We can't recommend this accommodation enough, and hope to be back soon for a return visit.

   Stayed in the Flyer for 2-nights and wasn't disappointed. We were greeted by Mary, the most helpful lady. Carriage was spotless, comfy beds, well kitted out kitchen with everything you need and a fantastic view from every room. Parking was excellent. The weather was up and down and the air con was fab! Location was lovely, so peaceful and great for visiting York. Dog friendly too which was so convenient. Would definitely stay again.

   We stayed in Blackberry Halt for our wedding we hosted locally. It was a lovely, spacious place to stay with lots of character in the carriages. The small garden was beautiful and the hot tub a great addition! Mary and Graham were the most gracious and helpful hosts, and very kindly decorated the Halt for us and provided gifts which was very generous of them. Some of our guests stayed in the carriages too which was great and they enjoyed the walk down to the pub. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

   Excellent place to stay for quiet and to be honest it's why we went. The carriage has everything needed for a comfy and pleasant stay and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. Skipwith common was excellent for the dog. Loved the place and will return. It should go without saying but you will need a car if you intend on going to towns and villages. Can't speak highly enough of Skipwith Station, book it.

   Loved the train carriage we stayed in, dog friendly, the place was really clean and some welcome bits were for when we arrived. The owners were lovely and very helpful, the whole place is well looked after. We had a great holiday.

   What a superb place!!!!! Very different to the usual accommodation, being old railway carriages and a repurposed loading building, but it's fantastic!!! Tucked away in a quiet location, next to a wood, on the very outskirts of Skipwith, it's a lovely place for time away. York is only 20-25 mins away, and the coast at Bridlington, maybe an hour We stayed in Blackberry Halt, the old loading bay. This is the only accomodation with a hot tub. Really really impressed with what they've done with it. Spacious, a big king-size bed with a decently firm mattress (let's be honest, we've all been to places that are great, but they've scrimped on the mattress and its way, way too soft!), great en suite bathroom and a decently equipped kitchen! A really good staging point for a long weekend! The only single thing I could suggest that would improve it, would be the addition of a knife sharpener! I'm a keen cook, and love a good, sharp knife.....the ones currently are blunter than me when I'm on one!! The very minorist of gripes and it hasn't changed my overall opinion that this place is epic, and we will definitely be back, with more friends! The owners are also awesome. The hot tub was a bit too hot, but the controls for that are tightly locked off. A quick text to the owners, and it was sorted inside ten minutes. You simply cannot ask for better than that! Edit: Here's just how good the owners are. Review read, and within 15 mins, a knock on the door and a sharpener delivered. Wow.......just wow.....we are definitely, definitely coming back!!!

   Excellent 3 night stay on the hottest 2 days of the year the air conditioning was more than ample to cope with the 40’c heat,great barbecue provided for us great in every way,we stayed in the Lady Deramore.    Fantastic stay would thoroughly recommend to anyone. The accommodation was very clean and tidy with the added bonus of a private garden and a use of a BBQ with charcoal. The owners were very friendly and helpful and were spot on with everything. I will definitely be staying again in the future

   We loved this place...everywhere was clean and lots of things were provided so didn't need to bring half the stuff we brought! Even a pint of milk in the fridge! We loved that we could look out and see deer in the field opposite too...hubby is a keen nature lover. Dog friendly too and that goes for the local pub too, the Drovers Arms where we had two great meals during our stay. Would definitely recommend and hopefully we will be back again!
