   We had an amazing stay in the Maple Lodge. The amenities were next level - hot tub, cinema room with log fire, swing seat overlooking the lake, free standing bath and double shower in the stunning bedroom and the lodge in general had everything you would need for a self catering stay. Every aspect was complimented with the most amazing lighting and it’s also perfectly located for visiting York. They really have thought of everything with this place. 10/10.

   Absolutely banging stay, had a lodge with a pool table/ slightly wonky as well as a dart board and hot tub! The entire weekend stay was great! My one and only gripe would be next to the pool table in lodge 8 there is a gap between the roof and the wall, cover this up please as if you come when we have in the winter playing pool/darts is very difficult without wanting to damage anything at least for the price we payed I would have expected this. Other than that absolutely fantastic. A lot of potential here.

   We visited cherry tree Lodge 7 years ago and was lovely, so decided to return and we were really disappointed by the lodge... it seemed that no upkeep of the property had been done in this time. The lodge from the outside and decking area looked really tired with peeling paint and very slippery decking as it hadn't been painted or treated in quite a while. The hot tub was lovely and clean but the lid was not in a good working order, this was changed on our last night though to a better cover. Also there is only enough sofa room for 3 people at the most, (not the corner sofa pictured on the booking site)so was not comfortable in the evenings... the owners could do with adding a spatula or wooden spoon...struggled cooking scrambled eggs.... the bedrooms were ok but really lacked anywhere to hang things. Bring your own hangers as theres only about 5 in each wardrobe. The bedside light was a USB light but I couldn't use it as there was no USB plug socket?! Very dusty... and worst of all on our last morning I found a very dirty saucepan where someone had cooked beans and just put it back in the cupboard!!! Disgusting! This was not us, as we hardly ate in the lodge. Bring your own salt and pepper aswell, there are pots but they were empty. On a positive note, the beds were comfortable and bedding and towels were clean. Watch out for poop in parking area too!! My son found a pile and we had great fun washing that out the back of our car... (we dont have a dog)

   Wow wow WOW!! We stayed in one of the newly renovated lodges and we were absolutely blown away the moment we entered the site! The lodges have beautiful tree’s painted on the outsides which look stunning! When we got into our lodge I could not believe how outstanding it was! You see pictures online of things and don’t expect it to look exactly like that but my gosh it exceeded our expectations! It was beautifully decorated with so much attention to detail, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The place had everything we could possibly need — it truly felt like a home away from home. The hot tub was a real highlight, perfectly positioned to take in the beautiful scenery while relaxing — pure bliss! The log burner added the perfect touch in the evenings, and having free logs provided was such a thoughtful bonus! Everything was spotless, comfortable, and clearly very well cared for. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better stay — we’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway

   Just returned from a long weekend in the bramble lodge ( for pets) went with by bestie And the whole experience was lovely, easy check In, was able to check in1 hour earlier, the cabin was lovely and warm and was very home from home, lived in the hot tub the whole weekend and even managed to have breakfast sat out on the veranda yesterday morning, just 1 minor fault was the broadband signal wasn’t the best and the tv kept buffering, but this would certainly not stop us from booking again for September, would also recommend to family and friends.

   Just arrived back after a 2 night brilliant stay at Oak Lodge. Had a very warm welcome on arrival, such a comfortable place, all rooms were very clean. Takeaway services we're super quick. Had a walk over the the nearest pub. I was very sad to leave. I lived in the hottub the while time. Perfect weekend all around. Can't wait to book again. Definitely recommend anyone vist.

   Currently staying in lodge 16 at Oakwood Lodges. Beautiful lodge, everything provided for a romantic 4 day break. Hot tub is fabulous. Especially love the bath/shower in the bedroom. Tastefully decorated, modern and spotlessly clean. Lovely views out onto the little lake. Rural location. So quiet and relaxing. Dont forget to check the stars at night.... hardly any light pollution. Coming from a city, I loved this! All in all, a stunning place! Definitely returning.

   We’ve just come back from a wonderful 4 night break away at The Oakwood Lodges. Gerry was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The lodges were super comfy and had everything you needed, including a fantastic hot tub. The only thing I’d say is the accommodation isn’t walking distance of shops/pubs so you have to drive everywhere really. However we were very happy with the location as we drove into York everyday and spent our days there! Lovely stay and we’ll definitely be returning again.
