Having recently upgraded my turntable, amp and speakers all from Eric Wiley, i couldn't be more impressed by the team and over all experience. Over multiple visits, I was made to feel welcome and not pressured into purchasing anything. It was important to myself that I was getting the correct equipment for my budget and space . The team were able to demonstrate and helped replicate the set up I would have. I even brought records in to play my media on the potential set up. The team was at hand at all points of the process to answer questions and concerns i had. I now have a fantastic setup in which i will enjoy for many years to come. Not only was the customer experience fantastic, the prices were fantastic! I would highly recommend.
I bought my first Hi-Fi system from this shop in the 80's and have continued to use them when I require a new TV or other electrical products as I have always found them very helpful therefore it was my first port of call as I decided to purchase a new sound system however I soon discovered their approach to customers has sadly deteriorated since my last visit. The shop offers various quality products therefore my limited budget of between £1500 and £2000 may have been the reason for the disrespectful way I was treated but I tried to explain that it has been a while since I purchased a new system and I was not up to speed with the new terminology but the sales assistant insisted in talking at a level way above my understanding and when I clearly explained that I did not understand what he was saying his response was to raise his voice and shout which makes things worse therefore I did not take home the new system I was expecting to. Very technical information is perfect for those who understand it but you should not make someone feel inadequate if they do not understand the terminology therefore my 40+ years of using this shop has now ended.
Good old fashioned service from people who are friendly, knowledgeable and obviously enthusiastic about what they do. We’ve bought a few things from them now and wouldn’t go anywhere else for HiFi.We’re of an age where a lot of the current high tech stuff is not second nature to us, but the two young men we’ve dealt with explain things very well and are really helpful.
Visited to demo new floor standing speakers to partner with the new Sonos Amp. They couldn't have been more helpful and patient in ensuring I got the most suitable choice for me. They were first class! And the icing on the cake was they were more than competitive on price.
My son and I were looking to purchase a new hi fi system to accommodate our respective vinyl and cd collections. We live near Wetherby and noticed the five star reviews of Eric Wiley. I spoke to Matt on the phone and arranged for us to visit the shop for a demonstration of the equipment they stocked with our respective budgets. The service we received from Matt was absolutely first class and nothing was too much trouble for him as we auditioned a number of amplifiers, CD players, turntables and speakers. It became apparent that he was not interested in selling us some equipment that was beyond our budget, but purely based on our specific listening needs for both vinyl and cd. Matt’s extensive knowledge of each piece of equipment was unbelievable and we were not rushed in an anyway. The result is that we have now bought two superb hifi systems at a highly competitive price. It is an absolute joy to buy something from a shop who put the needs of their customers first in a very competitive market. Thank you once again to Matt and the team for making this such an enjoyable experience. My wife and I will also be returning to the shop to buy a tv from them in the new year. I have no hesitation in recommending Eric Wiley for all your sound and vision requirements. You will not be disappointed.
Nipped in Wiley’s on the off chance when I was passing. Safe to say they have a customer for life. Knowledgable staff who are happy to talk about products and music without trying to hard-sell or get you out of the door. Will be picking my CD player up very soon and hopefully many years of good service to come.
