A gem of a place right by the beach. There are some super talented artists & makers in the studios which are always open on the first Sunday of each month but you can also be lucky & catch them open at other times. Lovely coffee/cake/lunch in The Canteen although often quite busy and if so, you can grab a fabulous coffee at Baffled Coffee. Hot Walls Studios also host 3 fantastic Creative Markets during the year- Spring, Summer & Christmas - highly recommended and a great way to support handmade & local businesses.

Great walk, nice pebble beach, amazing craft shops with fine arts and jewellery. Lovely café too and a couple pubs further along. Definitely recommended!

An inspiring place for anyone who appreciates art and creativity. Tucked within historic fortifications, these working studios give you a glimpse into the process behind the finished pieces. You can watch artists at work, ask questions and even pick up something unique to take home. The atmosphere is friendly and open, and being right by the water adds to its charm. It is a space that feels both historic and modern, which makes its strong online reviews very well deserved.

Nice range of little studios with art, craft, jewellery etc, from the expensive to the affordable. Got a gorgeous little ceramic daisy pendant as a lovely souvenir of our visit to Portsmouth.

Hotwalls is an mazing place, the sea on one side, which is the entrance to Portsmouth harbour , and a perfect suntrap, and the other side a lot of archways converted to cafes and art studios shops a unique place dating back to the days of wooden warships, so much history.

The number one go to place for arts crafts and culture. Especially on the 3rd Sunday of each month when all the studios and the square tower and round tower are open at the same time, ensuring you get to see everything on offer. Studio 13 offers free taster sessions of marbling and Turkish Ebru and sells amazing pure silk scarves, cards and originals. The canteen does fantastic food and coffee and the beach is brilliant, overall the whole place is the best kept secret in Hampshire, the perfect destination for families, young, old and everything in between!
