⚠️⚠️ I have been attending the aerobic swimming sessions and was a loyal member for three years, but my membership has now been cancelled. Throughout my time there, I reported several issues — especially about the aqua belts and other equipment — both verbally and in writing. Sadly, nothing was ever done to address them. What hurts most is that a group of elderly ladies, who have been members for over 25 years, seem to have taken over the sessions. They regularly bully other swimmers, claiming they have seniority because of their long membership. I’ve witnessed their behaviour many times. Once, I even saw a young disabled lady in tears at reception, still in her swimming costume, after being targeted by them. I reported this in writing and again at the front desk, but no real action was taken. The young male manager seemed inexperienced and unsure how to handle the situation. Eventually, the young lady I mentioned cancelled her membership too. It was heartbreaking to see. Bullying should never be tolerated anywhere, especially in a community facility. To make matters worse, I once saw one of those same ladies spit phlegm onto the side of the pool after coughing — truly unpleasant. The issues go beyond the classes. The saunas, steam room, and Turkish bath are often occupied by men who make inappropriate comments and seem to wait for women to enter. Some even shave their beards in the changing rooms. Classes are also cancelled frequently, often with little to no notice. For a council-run facility, it’s incredibly disappointing. What was once a place for fitness and community has become uncomfortable, disorganized, and unwelcoming. I’m genuinely saddened to say it’s no longer worth the money or the stress. Avoid it if you value your wellbeing. No dought the elderly women are continuing the rain of terror !

Men in the Turkish bath area: I feel I have to complain sadly as the situation here is now completely out of control and I have to raise awareness to something very serious. I have witnessed on a few occasions that a group of particular men who frequent the Turkish bath area sit and leer, make comments to women in that area "sexual comments" causing women to feel incredibly uncomfortable. I have personally as a man had words with these disgusting men in defence of these females as the staff are doing nothing to safeguard women here. This really is a sex offence waiting to happen if it hasn't already! Please do something about this urgently! Employ a member of staff to be in that area to safeguard women and remove these disgusting vile individuals that I'm ashamed to call men! Also in terms of cleanliness these men shave their beards in the same place and let it drop all over the floor, it's a horrific experience here.. Especially for females. I would also like to raise awareness to the bullying that goes on in the aerobic swimming classes, my partner attended this class and was completely bullied and brought to tears by a group of older ladies that attend the class, they think they own the equipment and hog it all and don't let other women who aren't in their little gang use it. They have made a few women cry with their vile behaviour and something needs to be done to stop this. The equipment should be kept behind reception and members should sign for it and only one bit of equipment for one member so they can't sign it all off for their gang members. As a fitness professional who worked in the industry for 16 years I'm utterly appalled this is allowed to go on here, the sexual comments and advances of men on women, the bullying, the unprofessionalism of staff, the unreliability of the schedules and classes and the hygiene of the centre... It needs shutting down and a massive overhaul by the local authorities. AVOID THIS CENTRE AT ALL COSTS!

I was very disappointed today. I drove half an hour to bring my daughter to her scheduled swimming lesson, only to be told there was no class. Unfortunately, no one called or informed me ahead of time, which was frustrating and inconvenient. Communication needs to be improved so parents don’t waste time and travel unnecessarily.they said that this is the summer break but how could we know that if they don't let us know?

We’ve had a very disappointing experience. My son’s swimming lessons were canceled three times, and on two of those occasions we weren’t even informed. We had to travel 40 minutes by bus with a small child, only to find out the lesson was not happening. Since we have a subscription, we were told the money for the missed classes will not be refunded. This feels very unfair and unprofessional.

Extremely uncomfortable experience at the sauna. Lots of leering older men gawking and making comments like "you like that, don't you". Would not recommend if you are feminine presenting or a woman going into the sauna.
