Dear readers, when I arrived, I was amazed by what I saw. A magnificent park area, excellent playgrounds for children, and many birds on the water. Itβs a great place for a family outing. I was truly impressed β I highly recommend it to everyone!

Something for everyone. Families, runners, cyclists, couples or a mindful walk by yourself. It's got toilets, cafe and ice-cream van. Parking is cheap but I suggest you get there before lunch time as it fills up quick. It has a flat walk around the water. Active activities on the walk round as well as a kiddies play area. Trails leading off to various places including some ruins

"Excellent park with plenty of parking. Enjoyed the scenic walk and seeing the wildlife. The mini railway is a great value at just Β£2, and the cafe serves good coffee. They also have food options available."

This place is an amazing place for kids. Lots of flies along the path. The views and walk around the pond were lovely. The swans were magnificent, the closest I've ever seen these gentle birds. Be aware of flies along the path, and keep an eye on young children near the swans, as they can be quite bold when approaching for food. Birdseed is available for purchase at the reception. Please don't feed them bread. The playground is a great place for the kids to play even though the sippline wasn't working. The train also seems to be out of service. There is pay and display parking by the cafe for those who need it.

A fantastic place for a leisurely dog walk! The views are beautiful and the path is well maintained! Thereβs a large car park which you pay Β£2.50 for 4 hours which is very good value! Thereβs a cafe serving a wide range of food and snacks, plus toilets by the reception. Itβs great for dogs and thereβs ply of bins along the lake path! Thereβs a playground and nature trail for kids to keep them interested! Plus a light railway too!

I had mixed feelings on this park... we had a leisurely walk round, which was nice... and the kids had good fun on the playground... but I can't help but think it could have all been a little better. I will try to explain... I guess the fact that there was a small amount of drizzle didn't help even though it was pretty warm in the afternoon. The miniature railway decided not to open due to the early weather situation. Car park, I felt should have been free or nominal amount. Cafe had long waits. Ice cream van was expensive (or at least far more expensive than I expected it to be). Toilet facilities were fairly small considering size of park. Then there was the doggy do do's... not sure why some owners fail to pick up after their dog but either way at least one of my children manage to run or walk in to it... So all in all, I struggled to rate it high, but certainly not terrible (despite my experience!)

Excellent clean park with good scenery (has 2 lakes) with plenty of parking and plenty of space for walking, cycling, walking the dog, barbecuing, playing sport etc. They also have a mini railway that you can ride on the train. Price is Β£2 per person which is a good price. The ride lasts for like 10-15 minutes. Only negative is the building which houses the cafe and the toilets, shower facilities and changing facilities closes at 4pm with the park closing at 9pm. So if you need the toilet just after closing and if you've only been there for a short time then your stuck. Also parking isn't free but I suppose they need the extra money to maintain the park. But parking is cheap.

Beautiful place to walk with family and pets, they have little trains for you to ride. Toilets,Cafe, Shop. There were 2 ice cream vans. They have brick built purpose barbacues. Parking is not big enough on nice sunny days. On your walk round there are exercise frames of different kinds for you to use, cute little sculptures. There are picnic areas and children's play area. Lovely for a stroll.

Lovely leisurely walk around well maintained paths. Plenty going on even for spring, and just gets better over the year. Took more photos with my main camera - these are just off of my mobile. Good view of Sandal castle too from the lake.

This is a beautiful place a open wide lake with a children's play outside area. It's a long walk so be prepared there is a old castle that can be seen from the park on a hill. You can walk and gain access to the castle for free. There is ample parking and there is a cafe that has indoor and outdoor seating. Hot and cold food served also alcohol can be bought. Disabled friendly. Dog friendly. The establishment is clean and tidy and the toilets are well maintained to a good standard. Definitely a good place to take the family or for a brisk walk with your dog. I highly recommend this place it is beautiful and should be explored.
