Love Anglers park. It's a great circular walk for the kids - quite exposed though so not great on windy days. Lots of ducks, saans and wild birds etc. The path is gravel too so in many parts pushing a pram is like operating a pneumatic drill. You can follow the route for free or pick up a kids pack. Cafe is fairly priced but hit and miss re food allergies (no dairy-free butter, GF bread, only soy milk etc and alt milks can't be put through the machine to make a latte). Toilets are good. Playground is OK but can get slippy when muddy. There's a cute little gift shop too (reasonably priced) and free indoor activities. Dogs are welcome throughout.

Really nice place. Parking is inexpensive, £2 for 4 hours. Walk is approx 2miles in total. Lots of places to stop for a picnic and there is also a cafe and toilets. The toilets close at 4pm. Lots of birds and wildlife. Really relaxing place to be

Beautiful quiet place to walk. It is a 2 mile flat circuit around the lake, which has quite a number of hides and pathways to the surrounding area. Parking charges between 8am-6pm.

Fantastic place with sculptures from the book "Room on the Broom". The kids have great fun every time. The upside is the playground which is the end goal of the walk around the lake. On site you can have a coffee, use the toilet, but I advise you to check the closing times in advance, as well as the prices for parking.

Fun and education, nature and nourishment. A delightful place to spend a few sunny hours. Nature trails, statues, feeding the water fowl birds, and an adventure playground can keep you busy outside. Activities, exhibitions, and a cafe, can help you to pass your time indoors. The staff are helpful. The toilets were spotless. There is a charge for the car park.
