“I would highly recommend going to Total Fitness I went today and it was my first time going to gym was super nervous first, but I got showed around by Harry and he was lovely then I had a 1-1 session with Luke for an hour and he was fantastic made me feel so comfortable, it was the best workout ever, I can’t even feel my legs haha and now I’m really excited to go back to the gym. I’ve signed up now for a 12 month membership I would definitely go to total fitness and if you’re new to the gym don’t be nervous as they treat you will respect and don’t judge you at all!”

“It seems, in reading the rush of recent reviews and some past reviews that club staff are under pressure to get positive reviews for the club. I am sympathetic to this cause, many of the staff are friendly are regularly seen to be doing their best - as such, 5 stars. The mark of a lasting business in customer service is one that will learn from its shortcomings and actively listen to, and act on feedback from customers AND staff. I understand that a business needs money to operate, and I understand that raising member prices is often done reluctantly and by necessity. As other reviewers have mentioned, some things that a set of your members value have been taken away, business decisions that are necessary for continued operation may need better communication with your longstanding members. Consider offering a newsletter or some other practice in relation to club direction and the snagging list. I visit to relax, remove the some of the weight of the world and improve myself. Recently, every time I visit there is something wrong. Many of the machines I was looking to use out of action, the steam room - out of action or overcrowded. I keep to myself, but the changing rooms and steam room / sauna constantly have longstanding members complaining to other members about deteriorating facilities, removal of features (or staff), increase in prices and looking favourably at competing locations who will beat on price. Hard to switch off when this conversation is rampant, and they aren't wrong, I stay out of it, but I see more and more people swing this way as time goes on. The pool is massively valued among customers and of course with such an asset the business is going to leverage it to try and make money where possible, but the penny pinching adds up. Staff are clearly doing their best with what they are given, but sometimes it feels like they are between a rock and a hard place. 5* remains for now, I do hope that while management make the decisions they need to, that they find some way to communicate that with their customers on the direction of the club. Radio silence and stretching things thin is going to go one way. Hopefully the new members these reviews are desperate to encourage will allow the club to reinvest for the benefit of all members..”

“Very friendly atmosphere. My husband and I had a warm wax massage and a facial. It was lovely and relaxing in a calming treatment room. There is also a relaxing room to relax whilst awaiting and after your treatment. We then went for a swim, sauna and steam room. Excellent day - thank you.”

    THE LITTLE BULL

“Well for a start, you carn’t go wrong calling this pub the little bull. Every window has a blue bull printed on it. At the front of pub is a big blue bull printed on it. The entrance door is blue. The window blinds are blue. Inside the decoris blue. They took out the two log open fires. They took away all the bar stools. Theirs a bandit gambling slot money machine standing at the bar now. Bandit gambling mchines in the pool table room. I got half glass of sparkling cider. I gave a ten pound note to the bar tender. He was busy and looking and talking to his next customer. I had my change nearly thrown at my hand and missed. I was not impressed. I visited the pub a few months ago. I got a pint of John smiths bitter. I took the glass of John smiths outside and sat on the new bench. I was waiting for my bus. The bustop right outside the little bull. My bus came before I had time to drink my John smiths. I got on the bus with my pint of John smiths in my coat pocket. The bus driver did not see me. The manager of the little bull was watching everything. He saw me getting on the bus with a pint glass of John smiths. I was unaware of this. I didn’t mean to do it. I wasn’t thinking straight. Next time I went in the little bull. The manager was ready for me. He said I should be barred. He served me a drink. I have since on my eBay. Bought the manager of the little bull. Pint glass of John smiths. Costing me £8.50.I have it right now and I’m taking the glass down to the little bull today at 2pm. They do not serve cooked food. Or even a cold sandwich. Just crisps and nuts. Round the back of the blue little bull. They have took away all the garden furniture and umbrella shades. All the swings and slide have gone. Their is a couple of benches with no umbrella shades. Thanks for the read.”

“Booked morning reviver spa deal. It was a fantastic, relaxing experience. The lady booking me in the spa was welcoming and conscientious and couldn't do enough. In fact all staff(waiting staff, masseuse)were all friendly and helpful. All staff frequently checked everything was ok and were very attentive. The hot stones massage was amazing and the spa facilities were fantastic, especially the outdoor hot tub. The only negative was the open ceiling between the massage rooms, which meant you could hear noises from other rooms. Despite this I would definitely recommend a visit here if you want a relaxing experience.”

“I had a blast on the Pugneys Light Railway today. Everyone I met there was superb, from the lady taking tickets to the gentleman driving the train. I had a very excitable autistic young man with me and everyone gave us plenty of space so I could make sure he was safe and enjoyed himself. The ride itself was really fun, there were two trains running so pretty much no wait to ride, and it was only £2 a head which is cracking great value. I may have to go back on my own some time!”

“This is a great place, just outside the centre. The main thing I love about this area, apart from the location and great natural vista is the fact that you can make the walk as short or long as you wish. There are so many variants using all the interconnected loops it's great on foot or bike. My only concern is too many people get to hear about it and it gets over used... Maybe a "Washlands Trust" could be started so more people can enjoy it, and it can be naturally maintained for all to enjoy. I would suggest all to go and enjoy the nature on your doorstep... responsibly.”
