Nice walk but a lot of rubbish knocking about tbh, and a lot of the paths were a mess, maybe just the time of year we went ...

A rather beautiful area located between Eastmoor and Heath village. Been going on walks here whenever I can for the past 5-6 years now (the photos attached are from various years within that bracket) - the area's always provided itself to me as a well-needed area of respite. 10/10 would visit again

There is a circular walk here, about a mile in length I think. The ground is fairly solid (if you wanted to take a buggy / pram), and there is a car park (although it appears to be currently closed while being refurbished. There's not as many areas to see the water as you would perhaps expect but there is a view point for the Hydro.

We have been around this area a few times now to walk the dogs but the first time at this location. There is a nice walk down to the canal and a pub to visit at the end. There are lots of boats moored up along the canal and plenty of room to sit outside the pub

This is a great place, just outside the centre. The main thing I love about this area, apart from the location and great natural vista is the fact that you can make the walk as short or long as you wish. There are so many variants using all the interconnected loops it's great on foot or bike. My only concern is too many people get to hear about it and it gets over used... Maybe a "Washlands Trust" could be started so more people can enjoy it, and it can be naturally maintained for all to enjoy. I would suggest all to go and enjoy the nature on your doorstep... responsibly.
