“I have been having laser hair removal and facials since February this year. The results from my hair removal is amazing!! My face always glows and feels amazing after facials. The staff are so polite and will do anything to accommodate you. Highly recommend Laseraway!!!”
“Had a lovely meal here. Had the gigantes (giant beans). These are my favourite and these did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious. For mains I had souvlaki. Generous portions and the meat was juicy and tender.”
“Got my season ticket for next season”
“Excellent service. Staff very knowledgeable, friendly as and helpful”
“We stayed at Wakefield Lime Lodge for a work trip and it was a great little hotel. Very clean, great rates, and excellent service. A special mention to Georgina on reception — really friendly and informative, and made us feel very welcome. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll definitely stay here without hesitation. Highly recommended.”
“It's a nice place is this. I didn't have food but it looked nice and the aroma was appetising. The bar feels very modern, with all the arty stuff people like. Comfortable furnishings and atmosphere. Toilets are miles away, but there's plenty of old architecture to look at on the way (if you've not had too many lagers) Service was a bit impersonal for me, though the staff were nice enough. Great place...not exactly my type of venue, but it does it's job and is a great fixture on the Wakefield circuit.”
“Absolutely lovely staff - so friendly and helpful and it makes such a difference. Our room was immaculate - perfect for the nights stay. Six of us are in the restaurant and it was really nice - all in all excellent value - great location - great breakfast and brilliant staff. Thank you.”
“Brought my mum here for the afternoon tea for Mother’s Day and neither of us could rate it any higher. The effort that went into making this was second to none and it was absolutely gorgeous! It was both our first time coming and it certainly won’t be the last! I also bought a few baked goods and they were delicious. Hannah the owner is so lovely and it was worth every penny!! We’re so happy to have found this lovely little gem of a café!”
“This is definitely the cafe you want to go! The cakes are freshly made and extremely delicious. The coffee served here is incredible and made to perfection. Finally the staff are absolutely amazing and nothing is too much for them.”

“Nostell Priory in Wakefield is a peaceful mix of history and nature. The grand house and calm parkland are beautiful to explore, and we even saw cows grazing nearby, which made it feel extra serene. A lovely place for a quiet walk and fresh air.”
“Been coming here for years, past 20 years! The King's Arm pub used to be great but lately it's been a letdown Discovered a historical landmark today! Mount Tarry By It Good to have a little wander...”
“Visited Sandal Castle, mid-July, after discovering it on Google. I was so happy to see there was a café too. We, 3 of us, arrived just as the café was about to close 14:30, the café staff went out of their way to cook me a delicious bacon and sausage roll, my son had 3 cheese roll with chips. We also had 3 home made rock cakes / scones, coffee and cold drinks. I can’t wait for another warm day to return. Carpark is free too.”
“Love Rice and Spice, best Indian restaurant in Wakefield by far. Very friendly staff and great service. We have used as a takeaway during lockdown but can't wait for the restaurant to open again. Kamal and his team are superb with looking after their customers .”
“A great place, a smaller theatre, is sometimes the best. Especially when you see your bro's play.”
“Interesting and informative to walk round. Steps for better viewing, well maintained for picnics on the grass. Special events so check their website. Cafe and toilets plus kids park, really good few hours! Car park nearby (I parked in morrisons as shopping after) and you can walk around the outside, on paths and over the road.”
“Fabulous venue. Who doesn't love a free festival! Can't rate it enough. It gets better and better every year.”
“Wild , nice circular walk , parking available. A bit off road , still can go with a pram if you have medium to larger wheels. Can feed ducks there and see bunnies if you are lucky enough.”
“Beautiful castle ruin. Stunning scenery. Breathtaking views at sunset. Nice and spooky at night. Steeped in history. What's not to love?!”
“This is a hidden treasure! The food was out of this world and the service has been so lovely. We will definitely returning!!”
“Great local, friendly staff, decent atmosphere.”
“My first visit since moving to Wakefield. Couldn’t have picked a better day. Sunshining and sat outside. Really friendly staff and lovely local people. Internally the pub was immaculate. My go-to place now - loved it - thank you. The absolute BEST in the area without a doubt IMO”
“This is a great place, just outside the centre. The main thing I love about this area, apart from the location and great natural vista is the fact that you can make the walk as short or long as you wish. There are so many variants using all the interconnected loops it's great on foot or bike. My only concern is too many people get to hear about it and it gets over used... Maybe a "Washlands Trust" could be started so more people can enjoy it, and it can be naturally maintained for all to enjoy. I would suggest all to go and enjoy the nature on your doorstep... responsibly.”
“I had a blast on the Pugneys Light Railway today. Everyone I met there was superb, from the lady taking tickets to the gentleman driving the train. I had a very excitable autistic young man with me and everyone gave us plenty of space so I could make sure he was safe and enjoyed himself. The ride itself was really fun, there were two trains running so pretty much no wait to ride, and it was only £2 a head which is cracking great value. I may have to go back on my own some time!”
“Great coffee, great food, and great staff. Always friendly and always consistent. Highly recommend!”
