Nice Park, very well kept, good play area, refreshment kiosk and toilets. There is a nice display garden at the moment featuring The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe with the life size characters made out of woven willow strips. There is a car park but it is not the largest.

A lovely place to walk, well maintained grass and nice flowers to admire, with a big park for the kids, plenty of benches to sit at, a nice pond with fish and a pop up cafe which sells food and drink during the warmer months of the year. Free car parking with disabled spaces and an overflow which is useful in summer.

A really nice park with lots of open space and beautiful planting and it's free entry. The main area is grass with some trees, it has some tables and on all sides there are many seats, there's also a food truck which sells good coffee, a small selection of sandwiches, cakes and snacks, they also sell good ice cream including one vegan. There's a children's play area with swings and climbing frames all on grass, so quite safe. There's a pond area with lots of beautiful plants around it. There's a toilet block in the middle of the park, which is basic but OK and free. All around the park there is plenty of seating, it's a great place for a relaxing afternoon or to read a book as many people were doing.

What a hidden gem. Beautiful in the sunshine today. Big thank you to all the volunteers hard at work. Hellebores and spring bulbs were a delight. Amazing who you find in the borders!

A lovely and very well cared for Park which is a credit to the volunteers and helpers who look after it so well. Well equipped play area with adult gym area, free toilets, plenty of benches and a nice little garden centre in the middle as well. The plants were excellent and the grass had no weeds in sight as well. The recycling bins were a good touch as well.

This is a large Park with a magnificent collection of trees & shrubs on 2 sides of a harassed field. Unfortunately the water area where their are ducks was fenced for maintenance work but we were able to continue to the flower beds which were in full bloom. There was a lot of noise from children enjoying the separate play area but we gave it a miss as there was a threat of rain. We visited the food wagon & enjoyed a coffee & as a chill descended made our exit. There is ample parking, with disabled bays & wheelchair access.

Incredibly well designed and maintained gardens that are attractive all year round. The annual themed garden (this year Wallace and Grommet) is always a treat, and the playground is very well equipped for all ages of children. The Meadow section, with its more natural design, has come a long way, and is great for a stroll or a picnic. Probably our favourite gardens in York. Would benefit from a permanent cafe, but the Explore Library mobile Cafe and tent are good, and the Youth Hostel cafe (good coffee and cakes) is only a short walk around the corner.
