The cafe is brilliant. Better than any pretentious cafe in the centre of York. We stayed at the nearby campsite & walked here for breakfast. Savoury and sweet options to cater for any taste. Excellent full English. Delicious cakes. A gorgeous setting too! Will definitely be back.

Excellent park within easy reach of York. Has an excellent play park which my daughter loved. It's well kept here.

Simply beautiful and dog friendly! A half hour walk from downtown on a clean, flat path alongside the water. Really special views and gardens

A beautiful old-fashioned Park that really works hard to encourage nature, birds, butterflies and bees. With a small woodland walk, a pond with a little island for all the ducks and moorhens etc. Yet it also has a skateboard park, tabletennis, tennis courts etc. A really lovely cafe too where you can buy bird food and delicious coffee and cake to reward your walk round. . But you will need to use a stairway to access the cafe.

Beautiful park which has plenty to see and do and is well maintained by a brilliant team of local volunteers. Lovely to visit at all times of the year and the lake, play area and gardens are amazing too. It's great that they have a skate park, toilets, a cafe plus sports courts as well. Just a nice place to be.

A peaceful park can spend 30 minutes or however long you wish. There is a small car park which you need to pay for. A play park near the car park. I was only there for about an hour, so didn't see everything. A few statues dotted around the place ponds, and a lovely looking canel, which had a nice bridge. Saw a few people walking their dogs, feeding the birds and ducks but didn't see any swans this time. I wish had longer to see the courts - tennis and basketball, and he rest.

It was a lovely park with Canada geese. It was our first time at the park. We discovered the park by getting off the bus earlier than usual and walking by the river. It was very peaceful. There were lots of different areas, a pond, gardens, children's play and plenty of seats. There was also a skatepark.

There's free parking for Blue badge owners. And we found the place well suited for my.mum laws mobility scooter. The.place was quite difficult to find as the post code took us down a street that was infact near the park but nowhere near the entrance we had to ask for directions to the park car park. On the whole a nice place.
