Visited to watch the Liverpool game. A very cosy place. It was my first time having a traditional Scouse and it was bangin'!
We tried the pub and the local dishes (steak pie with a Guinness sauce) and they were delicious. Some people from the staff weren't as kind as others but the food is worth the visit.
On match day we were looking for a place to while away the time to go to the stadium while absorbing the atmosphere of anticipation and this place did it for us. An old pub with rooms (note to self - should enquire about lodging in the future) we stopped for a couple of drinks on a Sunday and got caught up in the emotions and expectations. Great place.
Food was delicious and piping hot, I had the Scouse with chips and it was banging, service was excellent and friendly, lovely ladies behind bar serving.
Went for a 60th birthday weekend with another 8 family members. We had an absolute ball. Chris the MC was amazing, and the 3 comedians were also very funny. Well worth the admission fee. If I go back to Liverpool, I would certainly go here again

Stayed at the hotel next door so we stopped in for breakfast. We were early but they still got our breakfast out fast. It’s was delicious. Had some nice conversation with the lady that waited on us. Very friendly, very fast and very good.
Very nice pub. We went on a Friday afternoon. Started to fill up once the offices let out. Nice staff easy to get served during the day. Very popular.
Great pub, food is brilliant. Staff are all helpful and polite. Nighttime is awesome, music and dancing. The prices are probably the best in town and the Guinness is to die for. Highly recommend.
Walked past on fathers day, heard the Irish music, went in side . Place was packed great 3 piece band on , think the singer was Alan Connel , 1 lady on the fiddle another on bass. Brilliant music, mix of Irish, bluegrass, country and everything in between even George Formby. Place was bouncing , 2 and half hours of nonstop excellent music , would have stayed for the next act but had to get the train,beer was good too, very friendly atmosphere, will definitely be back.
