   NOT A WEATHERSPOONS - But don’t leave. We visited The Market Cross just passing through. Google gave this location as a weatherspoons and from the outside it looks as thought it was - the chairs, tables, toilets. So I believe this was in a former life. I decided to stay despite, and I was surprised. I had the Stake and ale pie along with a kids meal. I can highly recommend the Stake and Ale Pie, very meaty plenty of sauce in the pie, hot and chips are very high quality. The gravy was a little thick, but I’m not a fan of gravy in general so no stars lost. It was still very tasty and filling. (This could be bought as a 2 for 1 on a a Monday for £14.70 or £9.35 normally. The kids Mac and cheese was a little disappointing, plenty of chips and pea, the pasta was rubbery and not very good, maybe over cooked. My child refused to eat it but loved the chips. All in all very affordable and pleasantly surprising. Would visit again.

   Really very good experience. The bar staff was extremely friendly and very helpful and the food was great. I had the steak and ale pie, which was first class. Also great value. I shall definitely be back and I will recommend your pub to anyone who wants friendly, professional and great value. Thanks very much!

   Left a 5 star review for this place last year. I have now deleted this review and replaced it with a 2 star review. How far this place has fallen in a year under its new management. Prices are so much higher and I'm sat here right now unable to even order a burger because there is "no beef left". Food also ends at 8pm instead of 11pm. Oh the days of Wetherspoons... look how empty this place is now, it's a ghost town. Also, the fire is no longer on in the mornings which was a real highlight of this place.

   lovely staff come here a lot over the weekends with my kids but today i went here for breakfast. Bacon looks like Ursula. its purple and i’m not happy.. won’t be coming here again for breakfast also my dinner in microwaved all the time it’s not hard to make a decent meal without putting it in the microwave.

   Possibly the most comfortable and dare I say (classiest) in the area - Mold/Shotton & Wrexham need customer service reboots and focused management to ensure !! Number of pints sent back this last month - too many - and let's get some Spicy Ginger back in stock please. Foot fall appears to low and there may well be a reason!

   Nice enough,good service,clean tiolets but didn't like seeing staff throwing the food in the trough around people eating. 1st time ever I have seen that in the many ws pubs we gave been to. Other pubs take the plates away & empty plates not in people's view. Just pushing the trough on wheels all over the pub scaping left overs around people eating is a no no for me.

   This quite large wetherspoons is worth visiting when in the area we found staff to be pleasant and attentive, the toilets appeared clean although they were upstairs, the disabled toilets were on ground floor, overall no complaints.
